The Fosters 4X20: Until Tomorrow

So, Callie meets with the legal team, and with the new addition of the video tape, the best they can do on a plea deal is 3 years. Yes. Three fucking years in prison. For running away from a murderer and stealing a god damn toothbrush. I hate the legal system. The good news (if we can even call it that) is that in the video, Stef sees some newspaper clipping about the murder in the background. And Doug Harvey claimed he'd never even heard about the killing. Interesting. But, Stef can't do anything about it, so she asks Mike to look into it.
Mike pulls him in for questioning and they find out that he was at the house the day Martha Johnson was murdered; painting the curb as he claimed. But he says he also say Troy there (he ID'd him from a photograph). So, Mike and the captain pull Troy back in. They tell him his alibi is bullshit and once he and his girlfriend broke up she didn't care about protecting him anymore (this is a lie, but Troy doesn't know that). And without an alibi, and now facing the death penalty, he caves in hope of only life in prison. He confesses. He was mad she took him out of the will.
This should be enough to get Callie off, because it proves why she was actually afraid of him and from the accident. Huzzah! But, since Callie is 100% sure she's going to jail, she's busy trying to help someone else, since she can't help herself.
She and Daphne are driving down the road and spot Diamond and Christina. They hop out of the car and Daphne confronts them about running away. Diamond is insistent that she has to take Christina to her pimp or he's going to kill her. Callie tells her that Stef went through a lot of trouble to help her. But, Diamond is scared he's going to kill her. This is all Christina needs to hear to decide she no longer wants to go, record contract or not.
But, Diamond still needs to bring a girl, so she begs her. Callie (who thinks she's going to jail for 3 years) offers to step in for Christina and go as Diamond's girl. This is the worst idea ever. So, you know, par for the course for Callie. Run around and try to save the world, and get crushed by it in the process. She and Diamond get in the van and drive away.
Thankfully, Daphne drives right over to the house and tells Stef exactly what happened. She tells her Callie said to track her by her phone. So, Stef hops in the car and takes off after her. But, back in the van, Diamond tells her she needs to hide her phone since she'll pat down. Callie slips it into a bag in the floor. But, Russell grabs the bag and hands it off to someone. So, Stef is now tracking the bag and not Callie. (It also kind of killed me when we saw Stef zoom past the Inn they are staying at in pursuit of the bag).
At the Inn, Russell immediately pistol whips Diamond for getting picked up by the police. Then he orders the other girls out, so he can get to know Callie. Thankfully, all her really does is act creepy and make her sing. But, it's only been 5 minutes, so I can only imagine it's going to get worse.
While all this is going on, Jesus finally finds out about Emma being pregnant. He's upset that everyone in the family knew before him. First he confronts Mariana about it, and she tells him Brandon knew before her. So then he confronts Brandon, and still caught up on the two of them being together, he accuse them of not telling him because the baby is Brandon's. They both deny, but Jesus is pissed and runs off.
This happens while we're at the meeting to try to turn ABCC into a private school. The students were promised that they'd be able to talk at the meeting, but at the last minute, Drew decided to screw them over and not give them a voice. The only person speaking for them at the meeting is Lena, but she gets outvoted and the measure passes. We're becoming a private school. Which means, half the kids will not be able to afford it, including Emma.
Honestly, I was kind of pissed that Troy confessed which meant Callie was basically free. I thought it was too easy (like Callie doesn't need easy), but with setting it up the way they did, I actually think it makes the story better. I'm sorry Callie. My heart hurts for you, but it makes for really good TV.
