The Fosters 4X19: Who Knows
Added 2025-08-26 00:58:48 +0000 UTCSo, I don't wanna say I'm annoyed at the Diamond plot, because I actually really like it, I just don't think they gave it enough time. I'm assuming that next episode will be (and should be) mostly focused on Callie's trial, but they really did a lot with this Diamond stuff this episode, and I'm very intrigued with it. I just wish they had started it earlier in the season since I think this is the episode it should have wrapped up, but it's just getting started.
The moms confront Brandon about the letter they found in his pocket and he admits everything. I love that, at the end, they were grateful that he was there for Emma and took care of her. But, they now know that a bunch of people know about this. And Jesus isn't one of them and they don't know how they should handle it.
Speaking of Jesus, he's still not taking his meds due the fact that he can't have sex on them. But, Gabe does come over and chats with he and Mariana about the treehouse. Then, Jesus helps him move into the garage. But, he has a bit of a spell and confesses that it happens sometimes since he's not taking his med. He asks Gabe not to tell moms, but Gabe promptly tells Lena. (As he should).
Afterwards, he and Brandon have a conversation about it. And Brandon tells him to talk to his doctor (you know, the thing I've been telling him to do) and Emma. Once Jesus tells him that their relationship is mostly physical (he doesn't think Emma actually likes him, which is crazy, she totally love him), Brandon suggests sex that benefits her, even if it might not get Jesus off. And he seems willing (as does Emma).
But as they start to get into it, she asks him if he's heard the rumor about ABCC getting turned into a private school. He shows her Mariana's 'no secrets' Twitter (that she doesn't know is Mariana's) and he scrolls through some of the other posts and it seems like he might realize that Mariana is the poster. And then he sees the tweet about her BFF being pregnant and not telling her. And I'm pretty sure Jesus catches on.
Stef tells Callie that they've got some evidence that puts Kyle at the murder scene on the day of the murder. And they want her to claim at her trial that she was wrong and Kyle is the person who murdered Martha. She refuses over and over again. Finally, she agrees, but only if she can go to prison to talk to Kyle. So, Brandon drive her up (or down, I have no idea where it is in relation to where they are).
When Kyle gets in the room with her, he looks very different. He looked like a young kid desperate to prove his innocence last time we saw him. But now, he's covered in gang tattoos and ones that denote that he's killed someone. His expressions are also very different. Now he looks cocky and smug. Callie asks him about the evidence Stef gave her and he confirms it. Then she asks if he killed Martha and he basically just laughs at her, asking 'so what if I did?' Ugh. When I said a couple of episodes ago, 'what if he actually was guilty?' I'm not sure I really meant it!
So, after this, we've got a pretty good plan for the case. But, right as we've got it nailed down, fucking Gray shows up and sends Stef video evidence of Callie breaking into Doug's house. This is so going to screw up her plan of saying to pulled the toothbrush with the DNA out of the garbage. FUCK.
We've got the Diamond stuff. I cannot figure out if she's going to help us or run back to her pimp. I'm obviously hoping she helps us put these assholes in jail, but I don't have the perspective a of a young girl on the streets, selling her body to try to stay alive. And the only person who 'claims' to love you and care about you is your pimp. Plus, I'm sure she's got some sort of Stockholm Syndrome going on. But again, I wish this plot had been introduced earlier in the season.
