The Americans 4X5: Clark's Place
Added 2025-08-22 15:56:47 +0000 UTCThis was probably the only episode so far that I'm not going to rave about. There was nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't a 10/10 like almost all these episodes seem to be.
So after the death of Nina, Oleg decides he longer plans to stay in Russia and heads back to the US and the Rezidentura. However, when he tells Arkady about it, he basically tells him it was her own fault. She had been given plenty of chances and all she had to do was not break any more rules. Afterwards, he goes to inform Stan and he seems just as upset as Oleg is.
Philip and Elizabeth go to talk to Pastor Tim and his wife. They bring along their 'priest' who basically just talks about how wonderful they are. But it seems like they've got the pastor and Alice fooled. As they seem to feel better about them after the meeting. Plus, Paige heads over to try to keep the peace as well. And, I thought it was going poorly, but it turns out, she's kind of good at the lying thing too. So, so far, no issues with Pastor Tim. Let's see how long we can keep that up though.
Hans is watching Martha's place and is pretty sure someone else is watching it to so he puts a call in to Philip. He races out of the apartment just before Martha gets there. And then, she's freaked out because he never showed up. Plus he never got back to her after her 'date' with Agent A (because he was in quarantine). So when they finally talk, he sets her up with the number of the operator lady so they can keep in better touch.
Philip decides it's time to make up with Stan, as we could really use a friend in the FBI right now. So, he heads over and it's a bit awkward, but they do end up making up. But, Stan needs to leave to go to work and he's introduced to Agent A. Once he gets back home, Elizabeth tells him that was the agent she beat up however long ago. And then Philip tells her it's also the guy who took Martha to dinner.
And we end with Stan and Agent A parked outside Martha's house just waiting to see if they can get some dirt on her.
