Hart of Dixie 2X13: Lovesick Blues
Added 2025-08-21 23:01:17 +0000 UTCOkay so, Brick is away and Zoe gets an alert from the Board of Health that the flu is rampant. This means she's the supreme being for medical stuff (you know what I mean). Lavon is busy trying to best a neighboring town for publicity so he has a vested interest in not quarantining the town. But, to be fair, so does Zoe. Wade is doing a reunion show and stuck with his crazy ex in another county.
Zoe decrees that anyone with a valid flu shot will be able to cross the boarder into BlueBell figuring that gets Wade home. But, she soon finds out that he doesn't have a flu shot. And she's horrified by this. I think this is crazy. I've never gotten a flu shot. I don't know anyone who has ever gotten a flu shot. Covid vaccines, sure. The flu? Not so much.
Meanwhile, Lemon is trying to plan a sexy night with her new boyfriend. However, she's contracted the flu; and is doing everything possible to hide that from him. He makes them a lovely dinner, but by the time it's in the oven, she can't hide her condition any longer. Sigh.
The whole damn town ends up the flu. And, eventually, we find out it's Wade's fault. He's crazy ex tried to make a move on him so he fled back to BlueBell. But he didn't bother to tell anyone and as soon as he arrived, he sneezed on a person. So, he's patient zero.
Zoe has been busy taking care of everyone in BlueBell (with the help of Rose- even though she's pissed she had to miss The Black Keys concert; I would be too). And after two days, ends up the flu herself.
When she tries to take care of Wade he sends her away claiming he's self sufficient, but Zoe doesn't care. She decides when people are sick, their partners take care of them. So then, a few days later, when Zoe is sick, Wade does the same for her. It's incredibly sweet.
Also, Annabeth is set up with Lavon to shoot a BlueBell commercial. However, she realizes their chemistry is just too good so she bails. She pretends to have the flu so George will choose another lead. But Lavon actually cares for her so he brings her soup and tries to take care of her.
Annabeth is so guilty that she likes the guy that Lemon loves. But, Lemon is totally happy right now with dentist guy. He came over to make her dinner and have sex with her, but once he realized she was sick he totally switched gears.
The next day, AB shows up to check on Lemon and when she finds her happy with DDS, she takes her leave. Then, she shows up at Lavon's to bring back is pot and claims they can never have a repeat of last night. However, that doesn't seem to keep them from making out in his kitchen.
I don't know how I feel. I just want everyone to be happy. And right now Lavon seems to be happy with AB. Lemon seems to be happy with the dentist. I don't think either of these are going to last (especially Lemon and DDS), but I guess we'll just go with it for now?
In the future, I really really wanna see a whole episode of Zoe and Wade being blissful. It's not rational. But I really just want to see them while they are actually content with each other for a decent amount of time.
