What is goin on with everyone in this episode? Specifically Doc (we just finally got to a good place with him and Mel-now he's back to screaming at her?), but also why is Hope picking a fight? I assume it has to do with what the sewing circle was talking about. But, when she tells Doc she didn't have time to make a lasagne and he's cool with it, she's mad that had she made it, he wouldn't have eaten it.
Anyway, the clinic is slammed with what appears to be an epidemic of food poisoning. And Preacher is so sad about it. He's so careful with the food. Eventually, Ricky stepped up and claimed he might not have washed the lettuce twice, he can't remember. But, Mel steps in to tell them that she doesn't think it's food poisoning at all. We've got some new, odd, symptoms.
But then, George, the newest member of Team Jack, shows up at the office with rashes on both his hands. However, Mel realizes something is off and calls Jack to come over. And we find out that George (who'd only been hired a week prior) had been planted by Calvin to piss out Jack and remind him to stay out of his business.
Mel, meanwhile, is tasked with going to look at a house with Jack. She's THRILLED. And desperately trying not to mess up. But, when she manages to secure Jack a 10% discount, he allows her to ask some questions. And he tells her (and us) that as much as he loves Mel, she's not ready for a relationship now and he's planning on letting that go. NO! I hate this. Give me all the Mel and Jack, please! He's also considering moving in with Charmaine and the kids (just to make sure he gets adequate time with them).
Afterwards, Jack meets with a guy who might be willing to spill thge tea on what's going on over in Calvin's camp. But, he's really worried about what will happen to his family if he talks. Jack assures him that they will be safe. He's not willing to say more until Jack can make it happen though. However, later, Calvin drags Brady out to the woods and presents him with the guy. He claims that if he wants Calvin to trust him, he's gonna have to kill this guy for getting ready to rat on him. He hands Brady a rifle and leaves him there. I don't think Brady is gonna kill him, but I've been surprised a lot by this show.
And Connie is insistent that Preacher go along with whatever scheme she's concocted to make sure he and Paige have alibis for the night of Wes's murder. He's reluctant at first, but I think (maybe?) she talks him into it. However, later in the episode, Preacher bops over to the police station to see the sheriff (WHY?) but is told he's busy. But also, he's busy because they found Wes. Why was he here? Was it about the alibi? Was he going to turn himself in?
Also, I think I feel slightly better about Lizzie after this episode. She's certainly not in my top 10, but I didn't want to strangle her in this episode. That's something, right?
