Prison Break 4X9: Greatness Achieved

I love this season so much. Also, I LOVE that not only did Mahone get to be the one of who killed Wyatt, but he didn't even give him the time of day when he wanted to talk first. Fuck you asshole. I know we've all worked for the Company at various times for various reasons, but he really seemed to enjoy it.

So, we've got Wyatt held captive at the warehouse. We're trying to get him to call the general and tell him that Michael and Lincoln are dead. He refuses, so Lincoln enjoys beating him up for a while. But to no avail. Eventually, Lincoln, Michael, Bellick, and Sucre head over to GATE so they can follow the blueprint and figure out how to get to Scylla.

Self, Sara, and Mahone stay with Wyatt. Sara tries to talk to him, but she doesn't get anywhere. He claims that he's dead whether or not he makes the call so he tells her they can figure something out. But, it's Self who figures it out. He records Wyatt and cuts together a tape of him saying that the brothers are dead. He then calls the General and plays the tape for him. He falls for it and cancels all the PR BS he was about to do to track the brothers down.

Now that we've got what we need from him, Self and Sara leave, letting Mahone have his fill. he greatly enjoys torturing him for awhile. Then, when he's about to lose consciousness, he shocks him back to life and forces him to call his wife and apologize. Once that's taken care of, he chains him up and attaches a cinder block to him. He walks him out to the water and Wyatt tries to tell him that they are not that different of people, but Mahone doesn't want to hear any of it and just pushing him into the water. Bye, asshole!

Over at GATE, we've followed the blueprint until we hit a dead end that was marked with an X on the map. Turns out, it's a giant water pipe with some kind of crazy amount of water flowing through it. Michael knows they can't to over it, but thinks they might be able to go under it. However, it doesn't take long to realize they cannot break through the floor.

While all of this racket is going on, T Bag is in his office being questioned by an officer about the death of the guy who learned he was a liar. (I have no recollection of he and Gretchen killing this guy, but I guess they did). Somehow he gets out of this situation, but then has the secretary pull his own altered files and claim they are the dead guy's. He shows them to his boss and suggests this is why the guy took off.

Back at the pipe, Michael decides the only way is through. He sends Lincoln and Bellick to fry the power to the water breaker so they can stop the flow. While they are doing that, Michael and Sucre work on cutting holes in the pipe. But Michael starts experiences some kind of symptoms leaving Sucre to take care of most of the work (not that he seems to mind). Just as they are trying to get the pipe into the holes, Lincoln and Bellick come back claiming they've only got 10 minutes before the water turns back on.

It seems like we're going to be able to actually do this, but then, the wood that is holding up the pipe slips and breaks. And we are totally out of time. So, Brad, of all people, decides to sacrifice himself for cause. He jumps into the pipe and hoisted it up so we can fit it across, knowing that there is no way out after he does so. We get the pipe in just in time, but we lose Bellick. I think this was an excellent way for him to go.

We also have Gretchen who showed up at the General's office brandishing a gun at him. He kicks everyone else out of the office, and talks her down. He tells her he know she would come home because she's he's sweet girl (or some other gross bullshit like that). He then kisses her (blech) and it seems like she's back into the fold. He lets the other agents back in and they tell him that they can move Scylla by end of day tomorrow, but with Michael and Lincoln dead, there really is no move. And Gretchen seems surprised to find out the brothers are dead. Not sure if she believes that, though.
