The Fosters 3X20: Kingdom Come (Featuring Lauren)

Okay, so when we watched this episode, we didn't realize it was the season finale. It makes a lot of sense now that I know this though.

We hold a bit of a memorial service for Jack. I still cannot believe that that guy got another foster kid. I'm so pissed off about it. Sadly, the only people at this services are basically the Fosters. Jack didn't have anyone in his life, which is basically how we ended up here in the first place.

Today is the day that Callie is supposed to speak at a Fost and Found event launching the app (I think), but before she gets there, Stef tells her that Jack ended up back in that house due to the privatization rules that Callie is so against (even though she's about to go speak publicly for them and this stupid bill). After some detective work with Daphne (who will probably lose her job for this, and her kid), Callie finds out that Justina is on the payroll of the company that put Jack into that home in the first place.

And Callie is fucking livid. She goes nuclear and names names. When it's her turn to speak, she holds nothing back. She tells them this bill sucks, Jack is dead, it's Justina's fault, here's proof of the money she's getting paid by Arbiter, she's a liar and responsible for the death of Jack and maybe others, and she cares more about money, than people. I wanted to be one of those people who stood up and clapped, but instead I just settle for cheering Callie on.

But, it's not all happy, happy. Justina (who somehow knows about her and Brandon) published it on the website (I think). Stef and Lena are talking about suing for liberal (and/or slander, I forget which one and get them mixed up), but Callie tells them they can't because it's all true. And that secret is finally out. For some reason, I thought we might be able to keep this from getting exposed. I should know better.

While this is all going on, it's Brandon's birthday. And he gets a check for $7500 for his had compensation. And what does he do with it? He spends it on an apartment for Courtney and the kid. Come on, Brandon. I know you feel bad for them (her ex emptied their bank account and got her kicked out of the apartment as he was mad she was sleeping with Brandon), but you hardly know her. She pushes back against this, but he claims it's not nearly enough money to be helpful to him, but it could help her.

As much as I was rooting for a reunion between Mat and Mariana, it doesn't seem like it was meant to be. Unfortunately though, Nick sees her kiss Mat (but it was just a goodbye kiss and he misinterpreted it), and he told Mariana a couple episodes ago that he doesn't like surprises. If she wants to leave him, just let him know, don't cheat on him. I doesn't help that he's just had a huge fight with his dad about the warehouse and his dad basically called him useless trash. So, an upset Nick (who honestly looks terrible) shows up the next day at school with a gun in the glove box.

And we also have Monte getting off for her behavior with Sally, but now Lena is accused of allowing Gabe to work around the kids at a school sanctioned even. You know, he is a registered sex offender, after all. Now, I think it's legal, because Stef was there, however, legal doesn't necessarily mean parents would be comfortable with it. Sigh. We can just never catch a break in this show.

Yes! I was so proud of her. I can only hope so. The lady is terrible. I hate her.

Justice has been served in the form of a badass speech by Callie. Hopefully that's the end of seeing Justine ever again.
