The Vampire Diaries 5X6: Handle With Care

Could some one please give this girl a raise? She's now got three characters she's playing. I don't know what her salary was in this show, but whatever it was, it wasn't enough. Geez.

Anyway, Silas has promised to bring Bonnie back with he dies. But in order to do that, he needs to find the anchor to destroy the other side, so he's not stuck in some weird limbo and he and Amara can live in dead peace together. So, he, Damon, and Jeremy are running around trying to find it. They've got in pinned down to a warehouse in Jersey, but that's as much as they know.

Stefan and Tessa are trapped in her house (Silas has put a spell on the house so no one who's inside can leave before sundown) which is annoyed to her because she needs to kill him before he finds the anchor, and she's the one who taught him the spell he used.

Elena is busy trying to get in touch with Stefan and finally Tessa answers his phone. She implies to Elena that they've had sex and between that and Damon telling her he had to snap Stefan's neck repeatedly, she decides to head over and make sure Stefan is okay. However, once she gets there, she's trapped in the house as well. Good times.

Unable to get out of the house to kill Silas before he destroys the anchor, Tessa calls Damon and tells him he has to kill him. He refuses since he needs Silas to bring back Bonnie. However, Tessa tells him if he doesn't kill him by sundown, she'll kill Elena. But, he ends up getting attacked by Travelers who don't want him to kill Silas (because now he's got the cure in his veins). He kills them both and finds out that the anchor is actually Amara.

Turns out, Tessa lied about killing her all those years ago. She's just a stone block. Silas immediately feeds her blood (I thought it was Damon's at first, but now I think maybe it could be one of the dead Travelers? I'm not sure if it matters whose, but I know he fed her blood) which brings her back to 'life.' However, when she finds out that Silas took the cure (so they could be dead together) she apologizes, stabs him and drinks him claiming she cannot live another day. So now Amara is mortal and if she dies, all hope to get Bonnie back is lost, so Damon scoops her up and brings her back to the boarding house for safe keeping.

While all this is going on, Katherine and Caroline are busying draining the professor so they can get the vervain out of his blood to compel him to forget that Elena and Caroline are vampires. While they are chatting, they find out about some secret society on campus that they were going to ask Elena to join, but suspected she was a vampire. I don't really know what this society does, but what we do know is that they have their own vampire. And it killed Elena and Caroline's roommate and that's why he covered it up. And since Katherine looks exactly like Elena, she heads over to the shindig to prove that Elena is not a vampire.

Later, Caroline compels him to forget everything he told them, but to remember that she and Elena are not vampires. However, Katherine shows back up to him later to ask for help. It seems like she's dying. Her hair is turning gray and she losing her teeth. I guess old age is finally catching up to her.

Oh, and at the end of the episode, Tessa ends up giving Stefan all of his memories back so he can feel the pain he's been missing out on. (At one point, he ended up stabbing Tessa so Elena could escape). She also reminded him that she was the one who pulled him out of his torment, not Damon or Elena.
