OMG, I hate it so much. Please, I beg of you TV gods, give Callie a fucking break. This poor girl tries so hard and no matter what she does, she keeps getting screwed over. Also, Stef, you're a cop. You didn't check to make sure that restraining order was actually expunged!
So, AJ's brother seems pretty keen to get him out of this situation he's in with Mike. AJ keeps telling him that he's wrong and it's a good place, and Mike's a good guy. But then, after the whole kissing Callie after the party, they decide it's best if AJ stays at Girls United until he's able to be officially fostered by Mike.
AJ didn't really seem to have an issue with that. At least not until Ty got involved. He doesn't understand why AJ would have to leave, not Callie. He's convinced it's because he's not a white girl. I mean, I can sort of, kinda understand where he's coming from. However, this is literally Callie's home. AJ is only there temporarily and we all knew that going in.
Later, when he's discussing it with Mike, AJ seems disheartened when he says it would be better for everyone is he didn't pursue Callie, even after he's living full time at Mike's. AJ takes that as maybe Ty is right.
At some point, Callie runs out to move her car. (Remember she and Mariana bought a car together last episode?). AJ comes along since they are in the middle of a conversation. He then convinces her to take a little joy ride (even though there is no insurance on the car), and they pretty much immediately get pulled over. Why? Because she and Mariana bought a stolen car. 🤦♀️
Also, the case worker (?) shows up to discuss Callie's permanent adoption with the foster, and immediately asks about the issue with her foster brother. They claim that AJ is moving to Girls United temporarily. But, she actually means Brandon. Apparently, that restraining order is still on his record, and they don't feel good about Callie getting adopted (or staying in the house) until they investigate it. WTF. Just let this girl have a god damn home.
So I assume Callie will end up back at Girls United and AJ will move back to the Fosters? It's like a musical chairs of homes. How do they not see that this is not helping any of the kids. The department's one and only job is to help the kids! Bureaucratic red tape is such bullshit.
In other news, Mariana is super to be the godmother for Isabella, but her grandparents told her she needs to get baptized first. Mariana is cool with it, but Stef and Lena are not. They go around in circles about it until they finally tell her it's her choice. Thank you. So she decides to do it, but when the priest tells her that her moms are both sinners because they are in love, she decides she can't go through with it.
But then Ana disappears too. Turns out, she's been suffering from PPD and, and I think, PPP. At first her parents think it's just an excuse, but eventually when they seem to think she's actually floundering and looking for help, they agree to step in. Prior to that, Ana asks if Stef and Lena would take the baby. But I think now that she's getting help, that offer might get rescinded again. Either way, things look like they are looking up Ana, if no one else.
