*Two* MY GIRL Videos Today?! – BONUS Patron-Only Video

Hello Deathlings!

You read that right. It's a My Girl watch-fest: on the main channel, I watch & react to the original My Girl AND right here, just for you on Patreon, we have a *BONUS* My Girl 2 reaction video.

What? You didn't know that today was International Vada Margaret Sultenfuss Appreciation Day? A happy IVMSA Day to you! Mood rings for everyone! (Just don't lose that ring near some bees or in a tar pit. Then Gramoo will come for you.)

We have some bigger videos in the works so we thought this would be a fun, nostalgic way to kick off the new year – for so many deathlings this was one of their first times thinking about mortality. Did anyone read the My Girl novel – one of those books that was basically the movie in novel form? Producer Louise read that one so many times as a kid. Move over Are You There God? It's Me Margaret.

Plus we're trying out this dual release-main channel/bonus Patreon companion video thing. Thoughts? Do you like getting a bonus, related video at the same time as a main channel release?

And one last note: If you get ads on the My Girl 2 video, sorry about that. The video was stuck with a copyright claim that we can't shake (we tried micro-editing it to death, but to no avail). We figured you'd rather just have the video instead of us tinkering with it for days. Thank you for being chill about this!

Alright go forth and revisit your childhood cinematic trauma! Raise a glass to Thomas J! FRIENDSHIP NEVER DIES!

And thank you for being here, deathlings. My mood ring says you make me happy.

SLANDER! Ok, obviously MG2 isn't going to be *quite* as good as MG1. But bear in mind this is from an era when sequels were routinely BAD. Like. This was the same year as Return of Jafar. I'm just saying, I think it's still a pretty good sequel, and I like that we get to see that Veda is genuinely probably going to be okay.

I’ve never seen MG2, and honestly, I’m glad. This review is just what I need to know but rarely get from film reviewers. I like Dan A. and all the work he’s done. But is it just me or does it seem like he was a minor footnote character to provide cohesiveness to MG1?
