High School Musical: The Musical: The Series 4X3: A Star is Reborn

I refuse to believe that after Ricky and Gina did that first number, no one figured out they were together. Also, Ricky's hair is awesome.

So, it's time for the HSM3 table read. They plan to do it without Gina, since she's accepted Dani's role, but the actress playing Miss Darbus is late, so Gina is able to show up for the table read. However, we still have no Chad. But, Ricky surprises us by flying in Jet and Maddox. Jet is going to play Chad, and Maddox is going to work on the film as a PA.

Unfortunately, shortly after this, Gina ends up called called back to the set (I cannot remember the reason why). But, then all our featured extras shows up for the Miss Darbus is retiring scene. Gina overhears Mack talking to someone (the director maybe?) about being skeptical of her acting abilities. But, she immediately proves them wrong. She has great chemistry with Mack, and her acting skills move the director. Why would anyone doubt Gina?

But, the featured extras are all told to say nothing. Ricky, however, lets out a loud, 'wow' after a particularly emotional scene by Gina causing him to get kicked off the scene (but not the show, he looks too nerd cute).

The actor playing Mack is a bit taken aback by how good Gina is. And he asks if they can propose a trade, she teaches him how to act (even though he's been acting his whole life), and he'll teach her how to deal with fame. He also proposes them being in a PR relationship to drum up publicity for the movie. I told you this whole keeping your relationship was going to be an issue, Gina.

Meanwhile, Seb has starting working the coffee truck for the production, but still refuses to talk to Carlos. Carlos comes to get multiple cups of coffee and begs Seb to hear him out, but he's getting nowhere. This must be particularly frustrating for him seeing as he literally did nothing wrong. I love Seb, but come on dude. Cut your boyfriend some slack here.

And both Kourtney and Ricky are struggling with high school ending. Ricky has no idea what he's going to do. I don't even think he's looked at any options yet. And Kourtney is busy trying to write her own letters of recommendation (which is so hard) so she can get accepted into all the Ivies. Mr. Mazzara tells her the letter is really good, but then rips is up telling her it's about a perfect Kourtney that doesn't exist. She needs to write something real.

Oh, and Ashlyn and Maddox are so awkward around each other. It's almost uncomforable.
