High School Musical: The Musical: The Series 4X2: HSM vs HSM

Okay, so, we're ready to be featured extras! And by ready, I mean, ready. The choreographer quickly teaches them a segment and then tells them she'll break it down slowly for them. But, no need. Gina quickly leads them and they all get it right the first time.

Having planned for 2 hours of rehearsal, but needing very little of that (and seeing Gina is an excellent dancer), choreographer asks if she'll stand in for Dani while dancing with Mack. Dani is late, and they don't want to wait for her. So, they dance and and it goes quite swimmingly. (At least until the director shows up and tells her she's overstepping her bounds. Hello? It's not like she asked to take over? The choreographer asked her.)

Unfortunately, this is all taking place in the auditorium; where we are supposed to hold HSM 3 auditions. And when Jenn shows up, the director informs her that the auditorium belongs to her and movie for the foreseeable future. Poor Miss Jenn looks so sad. But, she spreads the word that auditions are now in the rehearsal room.

However, movie rehearsals are running long, so Ricky takes the lead and sends the kids out one by one when they are not needed. Everyone zips over to the rehearsal room, auditions, and pops back before anyone realizes they are gone.

Later, the director wants to run lines with Dani and Mack, and it turns out, Dani is awful. Sure, maybe she can sing, but she certainly can't seem to act. The director blames it on chemistry (and maybe that's true, I thought this might be a PR relationship), but still needs to find a solution.

Gina and Ricky are on a date where he brings her to a puppy playhouse and sings her his version of the theme song to the show Gina loves so much. While they are there, they get a call that the casting is finished and to come to Gina's for the unveiling. When we get there, we find out that: Ricky is Troy, Gina is Gabriella, Kourtney is Sharpay, Ashlyn is Kelsi, Carlos is Ryan, Emmy is someone I forgot, and we have some missing parts. Apparently, everyone who would usually try out, is being an extra in the movie and getting paid for it. I guess we'll figure that out later on.

Then, while we're all excited about our parts, Gina gets a call from the director asking if she'd like to replace Dani in the movie. I know that she and Ricky want to be Troy and Gabriella together, but it would be silly for Gina to turn this down.

Also, we find out that Seb still would accept Carlos' apology (even though he did nothing wrong), and Ashlyn still hasn't told Red that she's queer (she didn't wanna steal his bi thunder, which I get).
