My Mother the 19 Billion Year Old God

Hello Deathlings! 

So a couple weeks ago we were all set to start editing a different video to release today. It was one that we were excited about (and one you will see) but Team Death Video was itching for some NEWSY story. We wondered if we were ignoring some big mummy jamboree somewhere. 

Well, ask and you shall receive. All three women of the Order -- Sarah, Louise, and myself went down the wild COSMIC rabbit hole which is MOTHER GOD and Love Has Won, and when we emerged on the other side we knew we'd found our video. 

Not only is this a current story that continues to evolve, a story that brings to light corpse rights and how states handle abuse of corpse laws, but it is a mummy story for this specific moment in time. 

With the live streams, the online "lifestyle" marketing, an aspirational figure -- it's like 2020 conjured an avatar of itself into existence. 

Maybe "Embodiment of 2020 Bonkers" was on Mother God's lengthy CV. 

And thank you for all the notes checking on me and asking how we're doing. I'm sorry I can't respond to you all, but we read all the notes that come in and they are so very much appreciated.

*A quick, but important clarification: If you clicked on this post from your email, the subject probably read, "Caitlin Doughty's new patron-only video". This is not a patron-only video; this is a video that was released to the public. When we release patron-only videos we will explicitly state in the video info and in the video post that it is a "Patron Exclusive" video. Patreon recently changed the way Patrons-only video posts (i.e. these nifty messages that are delivered to your inbox) are released via email – automatically adding that "patron-only video" line to the subject, even if that's not the case. But that's not how we (and a lot of other creators) do things. So, sorry for the confusion! I hope this cleared things up! We're working on fixing this with Patreon.
