For the last video of the summer (yes, yes *technically* summer is over on September 22, but come on – don't we all really think of the end of summer as September? THAT'S FALL Y'ALL) we bring you a video that ushers in the SPOOKY season.
Big shout out to Sarah Chavez who co-wrote this episode with me, and to my friend Mara AKA the "Grieving Widow" for participating in my seance. All the death women were getting things done for this video!
While we were editing this video, there was a direction in the script that asked for footage of "ghost hunters wilding". Our dear editor Landis sent an email to the group asking, "What does this mean???"
Sarah and Louise (our resident ghost enthusiasts) were all over it, sharing footage and ideas from all those ghost bro shows. I always think it's so interesting, this dichotomy amongst the deathlings:
Deathlings who are avidly into the ghosts and those (like me) who are...meh.

*A quick, but important clarification: If you clicked on this post from your email, the subject probably read, "Caitlin Doughty's new patron-only video". This is not a patron-only video; this is a video that was released to the public. When we release patron-only videos we will explicitly state in the video info and in the video post that it is a "Patron Exclusive" video. Patreon recently changed the way Patrons-only video posts (i.e. these nifty messages that are delivered to your inbox) are released via email – automatically adding that "patron-only video" line to the subject, even if that's not the case. But that's not how we (and a lot of other creators) do things. So, sorry for the confusion! I hope this cleared things up! We're working on fixing this with Patreon.

I got that song in my head as soon as you said "Knock Three Times". Which I'm sure says something about me. (I also got the Barron Knights version from "Popumentary '71" in my head too...now that's some esoteric shit and possibly says something else about me.)
