Precious SECRET Porpoise

Greetings Deathlings! 

Today we have a whale of a tale (again). OK...not quite...more of a porpoise of a purpose? 

You asked for it, we delivered:

SECRET PORPOISE. 

Few things are as weird and wonderful as when you, my dark babies, glom onto a little factoid I mention in a video and suddenly IT'S A THING. As soon as we saw your reactions to the SECRET PORPOISE, we knew we had no choice but to bring you the porpoise content you crave. 

Not gonna lie, the porpoise has beached itself in Team Death Video's consciousness. So many porpoise jokes. At least one of our shared drives has a porpoise as an icon. The term "Operation Secret Porpoise" was shorthand for a group of videos at one point...like a little code name...

...I bought a monk outfit...

HOW'S YOUR QUARANTINE GOING?

Point is, amidst the heaviness of the world, it was darn delightful to work on a video that was educational, interesting, but SILLY. I think one of the notes Louise gave Landis in edits was, "GET WEIRD LANDIS". 

I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as Team Death enjoyed making it.

*A quick, but important clarification: If you clicked on this post from your email, the subject probably read, "Caitlin Doughty's new patron-only video". This is not a patron-only video; this is a video that was released to the public. When we release patron-only videos we will explicitly state in the video info and in the video post that it is a "Patron Exclusive" video. Patreon recently changed the way Patrons-only video posts (i.e. these nifty messages that are delivered to your inbox) are released via email – automatically adding that "patron-only video" line to the subject, even if that's not the case. But that's not how we (and a lot of other creators) do things. So, sorry for the confusion! I hope this cleared things up! We're working on fixing this with Patreon.
