9-1-1 8X15: Lab Rats
Added 2025-04-21 23:00:06 +0000 UTCI absolutely do not want to write anything here. And I may have spent a better part of an hour on the 9-1-1 subreddit reading theories that could make what just happened not be true. As per usual, lots of ugly crying towards the end of this episode.
Why would they do this to me? I've said a million times that it doesn't matter what happens to these characters, they always land on their feet. Maybe that's why. To put me in my place and prove that I do not know the show as well as the writers do. Well, I hate them.
Also, I'm shocked that I didn't get spoiled about this. I follow a lot of reactors who are reacting to this show. I don't actually watch 9-1-1 reactions themselves, but they are all over my feed. How I didn't find this out, is astounding to me.
What the hell happens from here? Assuming this isn't a fake out (Which I'm still sort of holding out hope, I've read some decent fan theories) what the hell now? How can the 118 be expected to get back to work? Or Athena? How can Buck cope with the loss of his father figure? And Chim with the survivors guilt that is sure to eat away at him?
I don't want say anything else. But, I'm still not convinced that this is the end for Bobby.

this is the dumbest decision they've ever made, the showrunner just drove his own show off a cliff. peter did not want to leave, all the cast members begged him to not kill bobby off. going for "realism" in the same show that had chimney survive a rebar through the skull, maddie survived a slit throat, and bobby died for 14 minutes and be fine is an insane choice. the heart of the show is peter krause and bobby nash, they just lost most of their viewers. also eddie not being included in such a major event? sure, lets just not include one of the mains when theres a main character death, i guess? but tommy could be there lol. they could have just included a scene of eddie getting a call about it, but he wasn't even aware they were ever in danger to begin with

2025-04-22 07:17:38 +0000 UTCI can't believe you didn't get spoiled since this has been a huge thing all over the internet, even people who don't watch the show have been joining in on the discourse on Twitter. Yeah I hope Bobby is alive but it really seems unlikely. The evil showrunner has been doing interviews saying he is dead, the actor did an exit interview on GMA, the cast have been posting tributes to him. The actor who plays Chimney even cried about how angry he is about it during an interview he did. The whole cast hates it and I hate it so much. Like I genuinely don't know if i even want to watch the show any more. I am so mad and betrayed and it just feels like the showrunner fundamentally does not understand his own show or its fans. This is probably the moment it jumped the shark and people will label this episode as the moment the show was ruined.
