Ugh. This episode was way too Laurel heavy. But if it's sending her back to Earth 2, maybe it's for the best. Also, I was petrified for Felicity's pregnancy this entire episode.
So, after the fallout from the previous episode, it seems that Laurel has gone back to her Black Siren days. She's mostly just being a bitch to Felicity and basically daring Dinah to try to arrest her. But, Felicity isn't giving up. She ends up calling Sara, who shows up to help. It takes a bit of work, but eventually, between the three of them, they manage to pull Laurel back.
However, I'm not really happy about how this happens. It just seemed too easy and quick. So, Laurel promised if Felicity and Dinah got in her way again while she was busy stealing stuff with this Shadow girl, she'd kill them. Felicity hops right in front of her while she's about to steal a weapon, and all she does is mock Felicity. Dinah and Sara both show up too and try to convince her to come back to the light, but she mocks them too. Until Felicity tells her she'll have to kill her to get her to go away.
And after hearing this, Laurel immediately turns around and uses her scream on Shadow girl. Then, the four of them team up to make sure we can all get out of this building. Felicity takes the weapon Laurel was trying to steal and sets it to blow up the building, just as the four of them make it out. That's a hell of a hard turn, really quickly. I don't like it.
But, she decides that she's got a lot of making up to do in order to try to become a better person, so she decides to head back to her own Earth to work on that. So, silver linings, maybe less Laurel for a while.
That storyline I completely understand. I'm less sure of what happened in the other two. Oliver and Dig go to try find the guy who killed Emiko's mother. And they track down one of the Longbow Hunters, who doesn't really have a lot of information for them. But, they do manage to find out he was hired by Dante. I'm not entirely sure what Oliver thinks he's going to do with this information. There is zero chance Emiko is going to believe him. She hates him.
Also, in the flash forward, I have no idea what's going on. Somehow the Archer program is in this helmet and some guy is running around killing Canaries with it's help. Mia is desperate to get back out and fight the guy, but Dinah tells her that now is not the time. But Mia doesn't care. She goes to fight him anyway. But, she's not doing well. And just as he's about to finish her off, Laurel and some other Canaries show up and save her. Laurel tells her to bring the Archer helmet back to Felicity. I just don't feel like I know what the end game is here. Save Star City? I guess?
