Am I the only one who isn't sure that cure is actually real? Or, even if it is, there isn't enough of whatever it is to be used on everyone

Am I the only one who isn't sure that cure is actually real? Or, even if it is, there isn't enough of whatever it is to be used on everyone who wants it? Also, when I was reacting to this I wasn't confused at all, but when I was doing the discussion, I had a hard time talking about it, so let's see how this goes. Lol.

So, we all on this island hiking to the find the tomb of Silas. Rebekah and Elena won't stop bickering, it's honestly annoying and I'm over it. I get that they've both tried to kill the other, but enough already. Seriously.

Apparently, according to Shane, if you bleed yourself into this hole in a cave, you can see your dead loved ones. Is that what he's actually after? For Bonnie to try to bring his family back from the dead?

At some point, Jeremy is taken and we're all out looking for him. Bonnie tries a locator spell and eventually she finds him. Along with some tribal guy (who is a witch) and Shane, who has stolen the headstone. And we've got everything we need to find the cure. Everyone else be damned.

Back at the campsite, Elena begs Damon to take the cure with her and be human again. He claims that being human sounds miserable. And much more like Stefan than himself. I don't know what's going on with these two. I think Damon is insecure about whether or not Elena actually loves him. I'm so curious to see how this goes if we can actually break the sire bond. But, I also wonder if Elena will continue to insist she's in love with him even if she's not because she made such a big deal about how the sire bond didn't have anything to do with her feelings.

Oh, and Damon ends up getting attacked by one of the five, I guess they're here too. Damon is doing okay in the fight until he not and then gets his neck snapped. Why he didn't just kill Damon outright, I have no idea. (I mean, I know why, main character plot armor, but I'm dying to know what the in universe explanation will be).

And eventually, Elena and Rebekah call a sort of truce. They all want the same thing. And Elena, in a show of good faith, hands over the white oak stake to Rebekah. I wonder if that will end up being important later.

At home, in Mystic Falls, Tyler is busy mocking Klaus. So, he retaliates, by grabbing Caroline and biting her, knowing that his bite is fatal. Caroline, obviously freaks out. Tyler begs him to save her, he refuses. He promises to be his slave again. He refuses. They end up playing up the fact that they know Klaus has feelings for Caroline and just leave her there so he can watch her die. And, of course, right before she does, he ends up feeding her his blood to save her. I know this is stupid, but I kind of ship the two of them. 😳
