Hello deathlings!
This week's installment of Cadaver Crimes is a little different than previous episodes.
Nothing in the ceiling.
No funeral home wrong-doing.
No "crematory" masquerading as a ceramic tile supplier for NASA.
Nope, this week we simply have the very human mystery of a corpse, a drag QUEEN, and what appears to have been an act of self preservation. After two installments of Cadaver Crimes involving a few really dastardly folks, there was something uplifting about telling Dorian Corey's story, sad as parts of it may be.
I hope your interest will be piqued about Dorian Corey and I hope you'll check out Paris is Burning. If nothing else, watch the entirety of this closing clip highlighting Corey's "drag queen wisdom".
She was so much more than a drag queen with a corpse in her closet.
And to help support the trans community and the improvement of trans lives, don't forget that this is the last week to order a Santa Muerte shirt designed by Sonia Lazo from The Good Death Store. A portion of the proceeds from each sale go to supporting Trans Lifeline.
Next week we have a special Cadaver Crimes episode JUST FOR YOU, dear Patrons. Back to our bonkers beat, this one will be on a BODY DONATION CRIME.
Keep your eyes on your inbox for notification about that video!
Yours from the House of Curmudgeon,
Caitlin
