Okay, so Jude is still not talking. And everyone is thinking it's their fault. But, I think Wyatt has the best take, honestly. This is something he feels like he can control in a world where he's always felt so out of control. I believe it's similar to people with eating disorders, who are in the mind set of their eating being one of the few things they can control in an out of control world. But that's just my opinion.
So, in my opinion, the Brandon story is the most important this episode. He heads off to the woods to practice with the band. (He thought they were going to an actual place). Turns out, they are just going to get high and try to write songs. But, one pot brownie later, he's super anxious and paranoid. He ends up calling Lena to come get him. And while she's trying to talk him down and explain that it's just a mistake that most teenagers make, he claims that he can never come back from this mistake. And then tells her that the mistake is that he slept with Dani. Finally.
Now, we run into the bigger issue. Lena is insistent that what Dani did was illegal and that she has to tell someone. Brandon begs her not to, restating what Dani told him; if Mike finds out, he might fall off the wagon again that then it would be his fault. Typical abuser behavior. They don't really come to a conclusion on this, but I'm begging that Lena does something about this. Every time that Brandon is over at his dad's house, this bitch is there. That has got to be so uncomfortable for him.
Meanwhile, Callie decides she's ready to have sex with Wyatt, but it doesn't go well. I'm fairly certain this is the first time she's had (or attempted to have) sex since Liam raped her. And the trauma mind is a hell of a thing. It's obvious she wants to do this, but just Wyatt being on top of her brings it all back and she apologizes and runs away. Poor Wyatt is desperate to make sure he didn't do anything wrong. And Callie assures him to best of her ability that it wasn't him and he handled everything perfectly. But it's still gotta suck for both of them.
Stef is still concerned about Mike and what he may have done to Ana. Especially after Dani confronts her and suggests that Mike has been leaving early and staying out late. Eventually, her curiosity gets the best of her and she follows him to a motel. And it turns out, there's Ana. She's not dead after all. And Mike certainly didn't kill her. But, he also lied to Stef's face about not having seen her. It seems like maybe he's supplying her with a place to stay? It feels like this will end up being more innocent than nefarious.
And Jesus is busy trying to juggle two girls. It seems like he'd rather be with Emma, but doesn't know how to let the other one down gently. But, then Mariana tells Emma that he's with the other one, so that blows up in his face. All the girls want Jesus. I can see why. I like Jesus too. (In a totally non creepy way). But he doesn't really have any idea how to be in a relationship. However, I have to remember that he's, like, 15. All of this is fairly normal at this age, I think.
