Arrow 7X6: Due Process

Ugh. Things are going too well. I can't help but think something is got going to turn out properly with this Oliver deal. And I think it might end up being squirrely guy's fault.

Okay, so Diaz is now trying to blow up star City because Oliver loves it, so he figures it will piss him off. So much for using the city as a villain safe haven. Felicity figures out where the explosives are, but there are two and they need to be disarmed at the same time. So, Felicity heads to one, Curtis to the other, but he finds out that it can also be remote detonated.

So, Rene runs out to try to get it from Diaz, while Felicity and Curtis wait until the last possible minute and end the countdown with just seconds left. However, Diaz realizes what is happening and goes to push the remote, but Rene knocks it away. A fight ensues and Diaz manages to get the remote back. But then, the new Green Arrow shoots it out of his hand with an arrow. And finally, finally, finally, we've got Diaz.

However, after he's locked up in the police station, Felicity turns off the cameras and pulls a gun on him. He dares her to shoot him, but instead she just tells him that she's gonna do it because he ruined her life and took everything from her. Before she can pull the trigger (not that I ever thought she was going to), Dinah bursts in and tells her that she can't kill him because we are trading him for Oliver. So Oliver is getting out of jail (theoretically).

Meanwhile, in jail, the squirrely guy gets accused of attacking (killing?) one of the guards. He swears he's innocent and begs Oliver to find out the truth. Oliver goes back to the scene of the crime and finds the weapon with Brick's friends fingerprints on it and gets squirrely guy off for the crime. However, later, Oliver is suspicious after squirrely guy (I guess I should learn this guy's name, huh?) knows whose prints were on the weapon. So maybe he did it after all? I'm nervous that somehow, Oliver being in association with him is gonna screw up his deal.

In the flash forward, we find out the Felicity died very recently. But not before she ended up following in her father's footsteps and working as a criminal hacker. What the hell ended up happening between then and now? I need to know why/how William got abandoned. I assumed it made sense since Felicity died, but he didn't even know. And it just happened, like two weeks prior. Where is Oliver?
