There are at present staunchly religious folks discussing B5 on YT who are also devoted fans because although the showrunner is atheist, they feel that B5 is one of the very few scifi shows that has treated religion respectfully, as a serious topic, even though the show runner is an atheist..... by the way, the parents are played by actors who have also been in Trek universe shows, I don't remember from which, perhaps you recognize them?

Oh yeah, great movie. There is a speech from Alec Baldwin, who is on trial for medical malpractice that goes like this: I have an M.D. from Harvard, I am board certified in cardio-thoracic medicine and trauma surgery, I have been awarded citations from seven different medical boards in New England, and I am never, ever sick at sea. So I ask you: When someone goes into that chapel and they fall on their knees and they pray to God that their wife doesn't miscarry, or that their daughter doesn't bleed to death, or that their mother doesn't suffer acute neural trauma from post-operative shock, who do you think they're praying to? Now, go ahead and read your Bible, Dennis, and you go to your church, and, with any luck, you might win the annual raffle. But if you're looking for God, he was in operating room number two on November 17th, and he doesn't like to be second guessed. You ask me if I have a God complex. Let me tell you something: I am God.

Oh that's the reference he was making! I've not seen it, but now adding to my list. The only vague thought that came to my mind at the time, but obviously wasn't a fit, was Extreme Measures.

I like your Malice reference. Damn good movie, but boy they had to really work the plot to get a sperm sample out of Bill Pullman. It was the Mother of all Red Herrings.

Oh my word, that was one heck of a reaction 🥪 Killer prelude and epic summation. I concur with a lot of ya thoughts. But then I figured I would. We seem to think alike and make the same sorts of observations and comparisons. Always to the end and I never skip an intro. 🤟🏻
