True Blood 5X1: Turn! Turn! Turn!

I'm not sure if I liked this episode. I mean, I liked it. But I was also sort of wanting something else, but I have no idea what that was, so 🤷‍♀️

So, we backtrack a bit to last season and see Debbie coming at Sookie with the gun. However, this time we also see Bill and Eric's reaction to it. Bill is immediately concerned, but Eric is all 'Fuck, Sookie, she didn't want either one of us, remember?' But, Bill decides to head over. Eric follows him, but as soon as they are outside, they get captured by the Authority.

While they are in the trunk of the car, they come up with a plan to blow to car up so they can escape. But, Bill is wounded and can't get away fast enough. Thankfully, one of the Authority members is the 'sister' of Eric. (They were both made by Godric, but since they are all the fuck over each other, I'd really prefer he not refer to her as his sister.) She helps them escape, getting them new identities, and loudly has sex with Eric. As they are escaping the next day, they are caught by the Authority. No idea what's gonna happen to them, but probably nothing good.

Back at Sookie's she and Lafayette are dealing with a dead Tara. Pam happens to show up looking for Eric, and they convince her to turn Tara. Dude. Bad idea. Tara is so not gonna want to be vampire. Either way, Pam agrees after Sookie promises to help her get back in Eric's good graces. They bury the two of them and hope for the best. Then, at nightfall, they wait. Pam emerges first, and when Sookie digs out Tara, she's still dead. Girl, give her a minute. They are crying over her being dead, and it's been, like, five seconds. Ten seconds later, she wakes up and lunges at Sookie. I scream, very loudly. Sorry about that.

The Reverend is alive because he's a vampire now. He glamours Jason into letting him in and confesses that he's in love with him. Jason is really nice about it, but tells him he's not gay. Rev doesn't love that and goes to attack Jason, but Jessica shows up claiming he's hers and Jason banished him from the house. Jason thinks Jessica meant it and is disappointed later when he finds out she was just trying to protect him.

The werewolves have been busy torturing Sam since they think he killed Marcus. He's not willing to through Alcide under the bus, so he just takes it. But, right as they are about to kill him, Alcide shows up and tells him he did it. And speaking of Alcide, he goes to Sookie and tells her that Russell Edgington is alive and it's probably best if she stay with him to be safe. She refuses (you know, since she just killed Debbie), but he's kind enough to tell her she's always welcome if she changes her mind.

And something is going on with Terry's old marine corps. When Patrick finds out their house burned down, he informs Terry that a whole bunch of their houses burned down. He thought maybe it was Terry, but since he's a victim, maybe he'll help him get to the bottom of this. Terry declines, and Patrick seems very suspicious of him. Yeah, well I'm suspicious of Patrick. I like Terry. He's one of the more normal people on this show. I do not want bad things for him. Please!
