9-1-1 8X6: Confessions

Okay, Eddie, you definitely screwed up, but you are tormenting yourself like you murdered someone. I'm so happy we get delightful Eddie back. But of course, in order to get it, we received sad, sad Buck.

So, Buck finds out that before Tommy was out, he was engaged to Abby. Yes, that Abby. Buck sits on that into for a while until he talks to Maddie and Josh about it. But after that conversation, he decides he can really see a future for himself with Tommy, so he confesses that he and Abby used to date (he was her himbo). Then, he asks Tommy to move in with him. And Buck is so earnest and excited, but Tommy tells him 'no.' He claims that Buck is still figuring out who he is and as much as Tommy wants to, he knows he's not the last for Buck and doesn't want to get his heart broken and the two of them break up.

Meanwhile, Eddie is still torturing himself for losing Christopher so he decides to go to confession. And the priest give him some prayers and sends him on his way, but Eddie doesn't think he's been given enough penance. Later, he runs into the priest at a deli and they end up talking and Eddie tells him he's been using the mustache to hide from himself (since LAFD won't let him get a beard). He convinces Eddie to stop hiding and do something fun that he actually enjoys.

This leads to Eddie dancing around in his underwear  Risky Business style. He really seems to be enjoying himself, which means I'm enjoying myself. However, he does end up getting interrupted by Buck, who upset about the break up with Tommy, shows up with beer. Eddie doesn't say anything, just accepts the drink and sits with Buck on the couch.

Maddie has decided that she thinks maybe it's time to give Jee a sibling. Chim is, understandably, concerns giving what happened last time Maddie was pregnant. However, they agree to think it over. After a call in which a brother saved his brother's life, Chim come home and decides Maddie is right and Jee needs a sibling. But, it turns out Maddie is already pregnant. That feels like a risky game Maddie. What if after thinking about it Chim decided no, or he wants to adopt. I'm glad it worked out for them, but risky is all I'm saying.

There was nothing wrong with this episode. But, since it came after the last episode, which I enjoyed so much, it was a little disappointing. Plus, no one brought up the fact that Buck is boil free?
