Sons of Anarchy 5X2: Authority Vested

So Eli wakes Opie up in the middle of the night looking for Jax, Tig, and Chibs. Bro. It's the middle of the night. Find something else to do. Opie claims he hasn't seen them.

Afterwards Eli heads over to Clay and Gemma's since their house was broken into and Unser was knocked out. Turns out, all they seemed to take was the safe, which Clay said only had there important papers in it. But then claimed, he had no idea about cash and Eli would have to ask Gemma. Seems suspicious. He just wants to file a claim and be done with it. Also, sort of suspicious.

Jax, Bobby, and Tara meet with the club's lawyer (these are the only 3 who know the CIA is involved), and try to figure out what to do. Jax says they'll turn themselves in, but first they need to arrange for protection for themselves on the inside or they're as good as dead. She says she'll see what she can do.

Meanwhile, we find out about Tig's daughter and have to head up to Oakland (?) to make sure that Fawn is safe. Tara doesn't want Jax to do it, but he says he has to go. They decide to get married later that afternoon when he gets back though.

They find the house in Oakland and it's got 3 Black guys on the porch. They want to approach cautiously, but Tig is Tig and comes in hot. After checking them, they don't have any ink affiliations, but Tig can her Fawn inside begging someone not to hurt her. Tig bangs through the house looking for her. He finally finds her underneath some guy screaming. Tig attacks him, but Fawn starts screaming about he's her boyfriend. I guess they were involved in some sort of role play. Jax convinces the boyfriend to pack a bag for Fawn and get her out of town for awhile.

Clay goes to see Opie and tells him he confessed the truth to the club. To which Opie responds, 'your version of the truth.' Hard agree, Opie. Anyway, Clay tells him that he shouldn't leave the club because of him. He'll be dead soon and Jax really needs him. It seems Opie takes this to heart, because when the cops finally show up to pick up Jax, Chibs, and Tig, Opie shows up and punches Eli in the face, getting arrested himself. I don't know if this was a manipulation by Clay or not.

Jax seems to bond with Nero pretty well. He picked Jax up after heading over to Fawn's. And, when he sees Niners (I assume it's Niners) following them, he plays an insanely adventurous game of chicken with them, causes them to crash and Jax and Nero to get away. For the rest of the car ride, they discuss Nero's business. Do we think Jax might be interested in getting in? We've done the porn business before, so this is not exactly new. It just seems much less stressful than how we've been getting our money.

Tara and Jax get married, much to Gemma disappointment. (They weren't planning on letting her know, she found out accidentally). I know Jax and Tara love each other, but this feels like a 'spousal privilege' kind of wedding. The guys are going back into jail. Who knows what kinds of questions they'll be asking the club. But, Tara seems to have really embraced the old lady status, so maybe she loved this.
