So, I thought this was going to be about the fallout from the previous episode, and it was, a bit, but this was a double entendre I did not expect on an ABC family show. At least not in episode 5.
We start with Stef and Lena hosting a party and they find out that the marriage of one of their close friends is in trouble. And they start to realize that they haven't been intimate in a while, and that they are no longer taking the time to do little extras for each other. So, they plan a bit of a date afternoon the following day.
However, on Stef's way home, she stops by the pharmacy and the woman in front of her is buying the morning after pill. I think nothing of this. But, when we leave the pharmacy, we see that she is giving it to Jesus. Stef brings him home and he tells his moms that he and Lexi had sex last night and didn't use protection. She's terrified and you can't buy it without ID, so he got someone to do it for him.
I didn't think any of this was an issue. Until Lena doesn't know if it's a good idea to actually give the pill to Lexi. She's sure her mom would lose her shit if she knew (they are very religious), Stef is all like, we don't wanna be grandparents, we need to give her the damn pill. The two of them argue about it for a bit, while Jesus is like, guys, she needs the pill, it's the morning after pill, not maybe a week later pill!
Later in the episode, Lexi comes to Lena's office to thank her for giving her the pill (which she had no idea happened), but tries to play it off as best she can. When she confronts Stef about it, she says she did it, so Lena didn't have to. They both know it's the right decision. (I mean the actual right decision would be for her to legally allowed to buy the pill herself, but π€·ββοΈ). Afterwards, she tells Jesus she doesn't want to have sex again for a while, and if he wants to stop seeing her she understands, but he's cool with it. It seemed like he was the one he said they should stop and she was all like, nah, we don't have to. Either way, Jesus, if your bathroom is stocked with condoms, put some in your damn pocket!
Callie has a date with Wyatt and Brandon is jealous. He tells her that Wyatt is a bad guy because he used to date Talya, pressured her for sex, and then dumped her immediately after. When Callie asks him about it, he says they did have sex and then she got controlling and possessive and he broke up with her a few weeks later. That seems to satisfy Callie and she proceeds with the date. Which is Wyatt breaking into a house so they can watch the meteor shower. But, the owner comes home and Callie is pissed as she's on probation.
Brandon comes and picks them up, and he tells Callie he doesn't want her dating anyone, because he likes her. But, she tells him they cannot do this. Apparently, she's done it once before and when the parents found out they kicked her and Jude out of the house. And she refuses to ruin the nice thing they've got going here.
In other news, Mariana is still pissed at Lexi and Jesus, and is trying to date this family friend. However, he's into stuff she's really not, so she pierces her nose to seem cooler to him. And Jude gets beaten up for having painted nails. Callie warns him to take it off or he'll get beaten up again, but after a talk with Lena, he decides to keep them. The next day at school his friend (Love interest? How old is he?) shows up wearing matching nail polish.
