Ugh. I am again writing off everything Carl related. I don't care at all about Frank or Liam's bullshit either. And to be honest, I only care the tiniest bit about everything else that isn't Ian and Mickey related.
So, Terry shows up as the ass crack of dawn at the Gallagher's screaming about how Mickey isn't going to marry a dude. They scream and argue in the street, both pull a gun on the other, and finally Terry just leaves. This seems to be the cue for Mickey to throw himself into wedding planning as the ultimate bridezilla. It's really fucking entertaining to watch Mickey throw a tantrum because the designer (?) chairs he wanted for the reception are in the wrong color. Ian is throughly perplexed this whole issue, because who even is this man? Eventually, Ian gets a guy to serenade Mickey with what he wants to be their wedding song, and it's really kind of sweet.
Debbie is running back and forth trying to be at both Julia's homecoming and Claudia's birthday party (and is doing a shit job of both). Eventually when she shows back up at the homecoming, Claudia is there claiming she recognized the boutonniere Debbie is wearing as the one she bought for Julia's date. The fight ends up between mother and daughter though, and Debbie just walks away. Electing to have sex with Mickey's cousin instead.
Lip has decided he wants to buy this house that's for sale right next to the Gallagher home instead of moving to Wisconsin with Tami. Tami isn't interested, but Lip goes and rents the house anyway without discussing it with her. He makes a bunch of really good points as to why they should stay, but when you are in a relationship and raising a child together, you need to be making these decisions together. I'm not at all surprised that Tami got upset and walked away from him. These two have never had a good relationship, so it's none too surprising. That said, it seems like maybe we'll be keeping Lip next season after all, but I'd be fine if we chose to let Tami go. (I think Lip should keep Fred though, he seems like he really wants to be a father).
Here's to hoping the finale is the best episode of S10. But I feel like that's a pretty low bar. 🤣
