Arrow 6X13: The Devil's Greatest Trick

Do we buy this? I don't know. Are we just supposed to assume that Diaz has really been the mastermind all this time? Plus, if Cayden James is so good at computers, why wasn't he able to tell the video was fabricated?

So Cayden threatens to blow the bomb at midnight if Oliver doesn't have definitive proof that he didn't kill his son. Thankfully, Alena and Felicity come up with something pretty quickly. Turns out, Owen wasn't a bystander in 'Oliver's' fight; he was actually the target. And the assassin was told to use arrows so it would look like he was killed by the Arrow.

Meanwhile, Cayden James thanks all this allies and tells them he'll send a helicopter for them before the bomb blows off and will send money into an account later. However, the transportation out never comes. Tired of waiting, they all take off and try to figure out how to leave the city.

Barry helps Oliver and John zoom over to Cayden as he's leaving to show him the proof that Oliver didn't do it, and that Owen was actually the target. He claims the metadata came from inside his place so he knows that it was either Laurel, Diaz, or Anatoly. He tells Oliver to bring him all three of the so they can figure out who it was.

OTA hooks up with NTA to round everyone up before midnight. Once everyone is where Cayden wants them (plus William, who snuck out because he was afraid of not being where Oliver was), he tries to find the culprit. Pretty quickly thereafter, Laurel confesses, but Cayden doesn't believe her since she hesitated before she killed Vince. However, the trigger of his bomb interferes with Laurel's dampening collar, so she's able to canary scream everyone and escape. But, Quintin and Dinah are waiting for her outside, and Dinah ends up shooting her.

Back inside, the blast knocked the trigger out of Cayden's hand and William grabs it, but Cayden gets his hands on it and Oliver tells William to let go. He doesn't know who did it, so, he basically just decides to kill everyone, knowing that whoever it was who got his son killed will die too. Thankfully, Oliver manages to toss a knife at his hand and knock out the trigger. He ends up in custody, but Diaz and Anatoly are in the wind.

Oliver goes to see him in jail and Cayden tells him where the money is and how to get it back. He seems pretty remorseful, actually, but that's probably only because he's about to die. Oliver tells him he can arrange for him to see Owen's gravesite and leaves. But then Diaz comes in and reveals he's been behind this entire thing since the beginning. His plan is to takeover Star City, not destroy it. And he had James' son killed, and he's got the police captain and counsel members on his payroll. Arclight just helped thin the heard a bit. And he slits Cayden's throat and leaves.

It seems like Lance is going to try to help Laurel become a better person and drives off with her handcuffed to his car. Okay. And Oliver asks Curtis and Rene to keep an idea on Dinah, she's a bit unstable right now. I mean, who could blame her, but still, she's on a path to crash and burn right now.
