Oh fucking, hell. This is such a mess right now. I have no idea what the hell S5 can bring. This season is amazing.
So, Clay? Alive? I'm leaning towards yes. I had to rewatch the ending a couple of times because I genuinely couldn't tell if Opie actually hit him. But there is definitely blood splatter on the wall, so he hit something. But I can't imagine Clay actually dying now. Right?
Okay, well, Opie shows up at Gemma's looking for Clay, but sees her face and is outraged yet again. She tells him not to worry about it. But, that's not really working for Opie. He's off the grid for most of the episode (or I just can't remember what he did), but shows back up to watch his dad get cremated. Jax, who was about ready to take Tara home from the hospital, heads over to be with him. He had no idea that Piney was dead and assumes it was cartel shit.
After they leave, Jax presses him about what happened and he pulls a gun asking Jax if he knew that Clay did this. Jax claims Clay wouldn't (come on Jax, you know better than that) and Opie shoots out Jax's tire so he can't follow him and rides off. Jax takes the hearse and tries to keep up, but he crashes it since he's not paying attention. Then he yanks a guy off a motorcycle and zooms after Opie.
Opie gets to the clubhouse and pulls a gun on Clay. He's really kind of losing his mind here. Clay tells him he's got bad information and he didn't kill Piney. Bitch. Jax busts in and pulls a gun on Opie telling him, 'Don't make me kill you.' Jax. WTF. You are Team Clay here? What are you doing? How are we not all Team Opie at this point? Don't we all want Clay dead? After a few moments, Opie makes a decision and fires several shots at Clay. I feel like he'll live, but who the hell knows with this show, right?
Elsewhere, Otto and Potter have finalized Otto's statements, and Bobby is waiting on him. Once Otto gets into the room, he has Bobby read all the shit that Otto has done for the club since he's been in jail earn more and more time to his sentence, eventually ending in death. He claims that he did all this and all he asked in return was for the club to keep LuAnn safe, but they couldn't do that. Then, agents walk in and arrest Bobby. It's fucking wild, man. I did not expect it to go down like this. Bobby is screaming about what a rat Otto is and Otto's just like, whatever bro.
Before Clay gets shot, he meets up with the cartel to discuss Tara's situation. He asks them to let him handle it, but they say he's too close and they'll kill her as soon as she's out of the hospital. So, he heads over to talk to her. And he tells her he can help her and Jax get out and have a good life and blah blah blah. But, she got to give him the damn letters. She asks what happens if she doesn't and he says she and Jax never make it out of Charming. That's not scary at all.
We're trying to get the Irish and the cartel to work together, but the Irish are skeptical (and not thrilled that they used the weapons to destroy the Lobos). It seems like Clay has convinced them, but I don't fucking know. There is so much happening right now, that even though this should be the main thing, it's kind of blending into the background right now. 😳
Oh, and Juice is in jail. No idea why. They picked him up and just brought him to jail. I'm wondering if maybe it's so he can't have any contact with the club to potentially warn them that he told Potter about when this deal is going down? Maybe?
