Yes! Leo. Run! Run from this crazy bitch. Seriously.
So last episode, I was talking about whether we believed Stephen could change or not. This episode, he gives a speech at Bree and Evan's rehearsal dinner (?) about finally finding the right girl worth changing for. Afterwards, he and Lucy have a moment of eye contact.
She then invited him down to the pool, and when he gets there, finds her loudly having sex with Max in the pool. Lucy. Girl. Just let this shit go. At this point, all this bullshit is on you.
Oh, and speaking of the rehearsal dinner, Bree is on the phone with someone telling them telling them to leave her alone and let her live her life. She has the opportunity for a family now. Oliver? We find out later in this episode that he's 45. He might have aged out of having children at this point. 🤷♀️
Also, Pippa shows up with Diana as her date, which no one really talks about. Everyone sees, but nothing is really said about it. Lucy and Bree ask questions, but Pippa is pretty tight lipped.
Back in 2008, we're having Friendsgiving since we've gotten snowed in. Lucy thinks it's going to be weird since both Pippa and Bree's exes with be there (Stephen is not coming), but they both claim it will be fine. However, when we get there Molly is there (Evan's weird situationship type thing), and of course, Stephen ends up showing up. But Wrigley kindly takes the blame for both of those claiming he invited both Bree and Stephen.
And then, at this party, they do the dumbest thing I've ever seen. They take shots and then slap each other. In what universe could this possibly seem enjoyable? Plus, what are these weird ass drinking games they play? When I was still young enough for drinking games it was beer pong, flip cup, and take a drink whenever X happens. What are these bizarre ways to pass the time?
Anyway, sometimes slaps don't happen, Evan refuses to slap the girls, Pippa won't slap Evan, and Leo won't slap Stephen (but I'm sure it's mostly just to get under his skin). But then, out of nowhere, Molly slaps Evan and they 'break up' (if you can break up when you're not really dating).
Later, Stephen corners Lucy and Leo in the kitchen and starts talking shit, because that's what he does. He asks Leo if he's told Lucy why he and his ex broke up. It turns out, she did cheat on him, but with Stephen. And of course, Stephen is milking this for all it's worth. But then, Lucy starts accusing Leo of only dating her to get back at Stephen. Lucy, this is crazy behavior. Now, to be fair, I do find it a little odd that this hasn't come up in all this time, but you're acting like a crazy person. And then you fucking slap Diana? Diana who is doing nothing. Who is just as much a victim of Stephen right now as you've been?
So Leo finally claims he's had enough of her insanity and breaks up with her. Smart man.
At the end of the episode, Lucy runs into Stephen and basically begs him to leave her alone. She tells him he can win, but for the love of god, just stay out of her life. I am dying to know how we got from here, to her fucking Max in a pool for him.
Totally rooting for Pippa and Diana, BTW.
God, I love this show.
