You guys know how I feel about Shameless right now. But Mickey, running through the mall in a purple polo shirt and khakis, may have saved the season for me. 🤣
As per usual, I'm very uninterested in most of the storylines. Frank and mystery woman? Whatever. Billy dying at the bar? Why not. Lip and Tami can't figure out how to have sex or work an RV septic tank? I mean, it's S10.
However, I actually enjoyed 3 stories this episode. I don't know if I hated last episode so much that this one just seemed better, or if it actually was better.
Anyway, Ian and Mickey just existing makes me happy right now. Unfortunately for Mickey, he's now stuck with Ian's insane PO. Earlier in the episode, she stole Ian check. And now she wants Mickey to help her catch a parolee who has escaped her- by having him toss him out the window of a three story building. Later, he and Ian conclude they must kill. I've never wished for something to happen in this show as much I wish for this. Ian and Mickey in a murder caper? Yes, fucking, please.
I'm also kind of intrigued in what's going on with Debbie. She refused to sleep with an old guy to get her knocked up so she could take his money, but she didn't seem to have issues when the girl she hooked up with at the bar thought she was a prostitute. Although, old guy and baby, are way grosser, than one night stand with girl she found attractive. So, is Debbie a sex worker now? I can totally see her falling into this role. And I don't even think she would find any shame in it.
And I think Carl's story was the weakest of the three, but I do like that Carl tries to figure out how to be a good person on his own terms. When he can't figure out how to get it done through proper channels, he takes matters into his own hands. Sure, it's fake robbing people at gun point, but still! Also, fuck that bus driver. I mean I'm sure MTA is just as bad, but come on. If someone is desperate to get off a bus and is yelling that someone is getting held up, let the kid off!
