Ugh. Why are Brooke's parents the way they are? I'm thankful that we've only got one episode left, so there is little chance that's I'll have to watch her be disappointed by them. (But, I'm not happy about the fact that there is only one episode left in every other way).
So, we don't get any Nathan or Jamie which was a little surprising considering it's the penultimate episode. I'm also surprised that we didn't get Dan's funeral this episode. I really thought we would get that this episode. But, it was done off camera.
But anyway, we get a pretty good wrap up to a lot of things this episode. We've definitely got a got full circle moment to our burning boat night. Brooke's parents (with the help of Julian) try, yet again, to be actual parents. And Brooke is so happy to get what she's always wanted, that I'm willing to go along with this even though I'm petrified for her. It looks like Chase is going to buy Tric, so he'll have something going on in his life now the Air Force is out of the picture (and so are the girls, literally, as he deleted their pictures off his phone). Mouth is able to get back into some sport's reporting and Skills is going to do the morning show with Millie. Clay spontaneously proposes to Quinn when he realizes how good of a family they make with Logan.
It's a bit too easy and a bit wish fulfillment-esque, but these people have been through enough just living in this town. I'm fine with giving them a happy ever after.
While this is going on, Julian is busy working on a script for the Raven TV show. It looks like it's going to happen after all. We start casting next week. I wonder if this is going to be a bit of a meta thing, and it just ends up being a show about this show. But, maybe with some redos that we wish hadn't happened (i.e. Brooke's sex tape with Nathan), and some things we wish had (such as Brooke and Julian meeting in high school).
Oh, and I'm also guessing that we'll have Tric's 10 year anniversary show next episode. I kind of hope Karen comes back for that, but that Lucas and Peyton do not. I feel like they would overshadow everything else. But Karen would be a nice addition.
I don't know. I think I was expecting a little more from this episode. I'm not really sure what though, as I don't really have any complaints or suggestions, so I guess I'm just crazy. Lol.
But honestly, most of this episode was me being sad for Brooke.
