One Tree Hill 9X10: Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will

OMG. I was just saying that the only way for Dan to actually get redeemed is that he has to die. And then he fucking dies? Are they serious? Do I really have to forgive him now? Am I ready for that? (After all this, he's probably not even gonna be dead πŸ™„).

So, Dan trains Julian and Chris to help him rescue Nathan. I wish someone had accidentally killed Chris in the process. All he did was bitch and whine. Julian showed up and was ready to rock, though. However, when it came time to actually save Nathan, Dan locked him out of the car and told him to to home to his family.

Anyway, Dan bursts in Rambo style. He kills a handful of people immediately. While this is happening inside, Chris kills one of the guards by sandwiching him against the wall with the car. Once he's done that, he flees.

Inside, Dimitri hears all the commotion and heads outside to see what's going on. Once he sees, like, all his guys are dead, he kills 'Nathan.' But it's not actually Nathan. Dan (I assume) swapped him out for one of the guards. He and Nathan are fine and trying to find a way out of the building. But, as soon as they try to leave, they run back into Dimitri who tries to shoot Nathan, but Dan jumps in front of him taking the bullet.

Thankfully, Nathan as stolen Dan's gun when that happens and when Dimitri tries to shoot him again, Nathan doesn't hesitate and kills him. It seems like he's home free (you know, minus his dead dad), but the corrupt cop shows up acting like this is all an inconvenience for him. Turns out, Julian is still around and knocks him out. Nathan is trying to revive Dan while Julian makes a call. (Could be 9-1-1, could be Haley, either/both are good options).

While all of this is going on, Xavier is back to stalking Brooke. Somehow (no idea where this came from) but they are in an underground parking garage and he's followed her there. He's got a knife on her and puts it down to be creepy and grab at her, and she gauges his eyes and takes off.

However, her hiding space isn't great and he finds her pretty quickly. They fight and fall down stairs. Things don't look great. When she asks him why he's doing this, he basically says, 'because I can.' But, it's other cafe owner to the rescue! (Nope, still don't know her name- and I hate that she was the one who rescued Brooke). She shows up and tases Xavier. Then, Brooke tases him too for good measure.

Clay is busy driving around with Quinn and talking about how he loves her. They head to the cemetery to tell Sara that Clay remembered Logan. It's all fine. And in any other episode I would have enjoyed this, but not today.

Also, can you guys let me know, if I watch the last 3 episode as they listed on Hulu, is that correct? Melissa mentioned to me that there was a special version of this? Do you guys know if it's on Hulu? Somewhere else? I don't want to look because of spoilers. 😳

I think Dan and having complex feelings about him go hand in hand.

I didn't want to look this up. I didn't even want to be spoiled by a thumbnail on Hulu, so I really appreciate you guys checking for me. Fingers crossed it's actually the correct one. Especially if it's an hour long. Which, I'm happy about, as I'm kind of freaking out that this is almost over. 😒

Dana Licciardello

Oh, that sucks. She moved her car specifically to get away from him and he ended up attacking her in the place she was supposed to feel safe. Ugh. I have very complex and complicated feelings about Dan. You'd think that after all this time, I'd understand better how I feel, but not so much.

Dana Licciardello

Yeah I’m pretty sure from looking quickly that the version on Hulu is the extended version. I can’t remember exactly what scenes are just the extended ones but I didn’t notice anything missing and it’s almost an hour long

100% she should definetly watch the longer version for the finally instead of the shorter version.

Im soo sooo happy that Nathan is finally free and i absolutelly loved Julian coming in and saving the day last minute there but I am a tiny bit sad that Dan was shot but in my opinion this is his full circle redemtion as he supossedly died trying to save his son who is pretty much the only person he loves the most in this world apart from himself or Jamie or Haley. I can say alot of things about Dan as a person but I can't say that he doesn't love his son atleast one of them anyway. And even though I normally hate Kris Keller i loved him helping rescue Nathan and this is basically the one and only time I even remotely like his character. I loved seeing Haley going down memory lane this episode and reminiscing and I can't wait to see Naley reunited. BTW even though it is never explained im pretty sure the reason Brooke moved her car from the front of the store to the underground parkinng garage is because of how terrified she was when Xavier came up to her when she was opening her car after closing her store and talked to her creepily that one time and I think from then on she just thought having her car parked somwhere else was safer and she was probabily just scared to park it infront of her store again incase he did that again. I also loved Clay's talk with Sarah as I felt It brought some quiteness amogst everything else that was going on in the episode with both Nathan and Brooke.

Yeah I feel like the shortened version of the finale makes things a bit confusing. I noticed some reactors watched the normal aired version and some the shortened but I have no idea which version is where or why it was even shortened in the first place πŸ˜„

Oh there is a longer version of the finale I think, though that might be the version that is already on Hulu. It seems longer than the other episodes so I am hoping it is the extended version
