Tell Me Lies 2X2: I Shall Now Perform A 180 Flip-Flop

Guys, in the present day, Bree and Evan have gotten married, right? Or are they at a rehearsal dinner or something? It looks like Bree is running around in a wedding dress, so I just assumed, I want to double check. Especially after what happened in this episode.

So, the truth about Evan's indiscretion finally comes out. And of course, it's all Stephen's idea. Why do any of them listen to him? He's only out for himself. Also, everyone needs to stop telling him things. Any information in his hands is a terrible thing. But anyway, Evan tells Bree that he slept with someone else (he doesn't tell her it was Lucy) and she's obviously upset.

She leaves and heads the bar where she ran into Oliver the night before (when she got the earrings and sort of kicked this whole things off). He buys her a drink and they talk about what happened. He tells her they both know she came for him, but they can't do anything about it. She agrees and he calls her a cab.

Back at Evan's she tells him she can forgive him, but he needs to know that she cheated too. (Lies.) He's upset and she asks if he can forgive her and when he says he doesn't know, she tells him she lied and just wanted him to see what it felt like. But, based on his reaction, she doesn't want to be with him anymore and they break up.

She ends up heading over to the Oliver's office (the next day, maybe? I watched this 4 days ago and can't remember exactly) and they starts making out there. There is zero chance that this is not a 'thing' he does with students all the time.

Outside of Bree, Diana runs into Wrigley while looking for Stephen and makes an offhanded joke about them sleeping together. And Wrigley has no idea what she's talking about. He literally forgot that he slept with her. Once he remembers he asks if he should say something to Stephen about it, but Diana begs him not to. That doesn't keep Wrigley from trying to suss out Stephen's feelings about it. However, Wrigley is not subtle so, this is going to come to a head before long.

But, the really fucked up part of this episode, is when Lucy and Pippa go to a house party. Lucy and Leo are hanging out and Pippa ends up running into Chris (I think his name is Chris), Lydia's brother. They are kissing and then disappear. Nothing really amiss at this point.

However, not long after that, Diana wanders into a room that had towels and blankets shoved under it to make it hard to open. When she gets inside, she sees Pippa passed out on the bed, half naked, and Chris coming out of the bathroom looking guilty. She kicks him out and tries to nurse Pippa, who's starting throwing up.

She runs down to the party to get Lucy and the two of them get Pippa back to her dorm. It seems like the two of them are working well together (remember back when Lucy found out that Diana was actually a good person?) until Stephen call Diana. She doesn't answers, but Lucy sees. Anyway, Chris definitely put something in Pippa's drink.

The next day, Lucy tries to talk to her about it. But Pippa insists she was fine. And anything they may or may not have happened was consensual on her part. (I'm sorry, what, honey?) Lucy looks a little confused (aren't we all), and Pippa tells her it's not Chris' job to check in with her every minute to see if she's passed out or not. Oh, honey. That's not even the lowest bar. If someone needs to be constantly checking on you to see if you've passed out, you're in no condition to be doing anything. Ugh. I hate that she's basically blaming herself for getting roofied.

And just to add two other things to all the drama we've got going on:

Lucy and Leo are out getting coffee when someone bumps into Lucy. She apologizes, and the guy starts yelling at her. She tries to defuse the situation, but it's not working, so Leo just punches him. That's a little dramatic. Lucy, seemingly not knowing what to do, just walks out.

And then, and then, AND THEN, as if he's not insane enough already, Stephen ends up TAing Lucy's class just to be near her, stalk her, get under her skin, at like a pod person; take your pick of reasons. I hate this for her. She's just trying to live her life. As much as I was annoyed at Lucy for a lot of last season, right now, I think she's trying as best she can to just move on with her life and none of what's happening right now is her fault.
