Truthfully, I don't know how I feel about the distinction between selling drugs, and running them. I could be persuaded either way. But, running them, it means that the drugs are setting up shop in Charming, so I suppose that's what Clay is thinking.
Anyway, we head to Arizona to meet up with the cartel. But when we get there and find the Tucson chapter, we find out that they are selling drugs out of the area where we are planning to keep the stolen guns for the night. SAMCRO is upset and Clay tries to forbid them from selling, but the Tucson president tells him he has no jurisdiction there.
However, we find out that it was a close vote to decide to sell drugs. And there were two members planning to vote 'no'. One died and the other stepped down. After looking into it, we find out that the VP and the Sargent at Arms, did this all of their own accord. And killed their own member when he found out. Then, blackmailed the other out. It's not a good look. But, they end up tossing out the two members responsible (I think). That said, after a new vote, they unanimously pass to sell drugs. The money is just too good.
I'm not really sure what Gemma is trying to do with the garden charity thing. Also, is the owner of this flower shop someone we know? I don't think so, but it also sort of feels like we should? Either way, Gemma donates some money in Tara's name (after she asks Tara and she says she can't be on anymore committees). If I understand correctly, and I definitely might not, somehow these donation oppose Charming Heights. I think? Plus, the whole time they were talking, Link was skulking around. Afterwards, he 'runs' into Gemma outside pretending to be on the zoning board, and gives her some info about eminent domain.
Piney goes to see Tara to try get her to talk about what she knows about JT. She's pretty forthcoming about the letters, but then Gemma walks in and interrupts. Once Tara leaves, she warns Piney to stay out of it.
And we're running our first bit of cocaine. Bobby seems highly uncomfortable. I'm very curious how this is gonna play out. Are we gonna keep doing it? Are some members gonna quit in protest? How much money is worth it? Do we think they are gonna get caught doing this?
