Alright, so we were so close to Nathan getting free! But then some stupid bullshit that Nathan has nothing to do with ended up getting him tied up again. Fucking loser police officer.
Nathan, who has been rubbing at those zip ties for, like, two episodes now, finally frees himself. He manages to knock out one guy, cut himself loose, and take off with the knife. Once he's out of the room, he runs into the officer who told Haley he was trying to do more, but wasn't a detective so his hands were sort of tied. He gives Nathan a gun and tells him how to get out, instructing him to shoot if anyone gets in his way.
Almost immediately he runs into another Russian (although, I kind of think it was the same one that he knocked out?) and tries to shoot him, only to discover that the gun has no bullets. Sigh. Turns out, officer is pissed off about not being made a detective so he's doing all this to get some money. That's...disappointing.
They end up tying him back up and telling him they are just waiting for the money to transfer so they can kill him. Fun.
Meanwhile, Lucas shows up (am I the only who absolutely HATES his hair like this?) to take Jamie and Lydia home with him so Haley can just focus on Nathan. This was a total surprise for me. I didn't think we were ever gonna see him again. However, before Jamie leaves, he calls Julian and asks him to send him the video his dad sent him. Julian does, but also makes a copy for Dan.
After watching it a zillion times, Dan finally decides to look at the graffiti in the background. Dude, that is the first thing you should have looking at! Anyway, he finds a symbol that he recognizes, but seems to know that it's not a good sign.
Brooke ends up being called to a parole hearing for the guy who attacked her in her stores a couple of seasons ago (and killed Quintin, but he wasn't convicted). She says she wants to talk to him before she talks to the board. They meet and he tries to claim that he's reformed, but she doesn't believe him and tells the parole members as much; asking them not to let him out. However, they do let him out, like a bunch of idiots, and he immediately shows up at Karen's cafe watching her. Maybe this is a red herring, but the way this season is going for maximum drama, I'm thinking not so much. Great. So now we have to go worried about Brooke going missing as well. Ahhh!
Clay is finally trying to work through his disorder by actually talking to his therapist. So far, I'm not sure we're getting anywhere, but at this point, any progress is good, right?
And I guess I should feel bad that we are supposed to assume that Chuck's dad is hurting him (and I do, I'm not a monster), but there is just no room for this right now. Just like there is no room for Chase and Chris sleeping with strippers!
