Sons of Anarchy 4X2: Booster

So, so far, S4 is 2 for 2. This was a good episode.

We've got our guns from the Irish (not the Russians, got that figured out 🙄) and we turn around to sell them to the Mayans. But, as we're getting along just fine with Alvarez, he introduces us to Romeo (who runs some kind of drug cartel, I think). He's willing be buy, literally everything we have, and more. And he's willing to pay us a fuckton of money to it. The only catch is, we've got to run some coke for him. It seems like Clay is totally fine with us, but Jax is caught off guard and calls him out on it as soon as they are alone.

Clay tells him that he and Gemma have been struggling for years, and now it's finally time to try to set them up before Clay's hands go. Jax is still not happy about it, but makes a deal; he'll back Clay's play at the vote, but Clay has to let him leave SAMCRO scot-free once Clay steps down. Clay is surprised, and not happy about it, but agrees.

Later, during a meeting, Clay and Jax present a untied front on running the coke. Jax dumps half a million dollars on the table to show them how they will benefit from it. Clay says it's not time to vote now, but everyone should think about it. However, Piney and Bobby are both immediately, adamantly, 'no.'

Afterwards, Jax and Opie had to the reservation to pick up some ammo for the guns they sold to Romeo. However, when they get there, they find some of them dead, and others held captive by the Russians in retaliation. They want their guns back. They give the club an hour to get there with the guns, or they are gonna kill Jax and Opie. However, there is zero chance they can get there in time. So, Jax and Opie basically prepare to die.

However, Romeo and his associate show up with some of the guns and tell them they'll bring the rest. But, at the last moment, they just decide to shoot and kill most of the Russians. Fun. Shortly after, Clay and crew show up and show their gratitude. Romeo is all like, dude, this relationship is important to me, gotta keep you all safe.

Oh, why was Clay and crew later, you ask, because fucking Eli decided to be an asshole and pretend he thought the clubhouse was on fire. And then destroyed the whole fucking thing was a fire axe. Prick. Everyone is sad and dejected when they get back and see what he's done to their home. So, Tara decides to cheer everyone up by sharing the news that she and Jax are engaged.

One more thing, Gemma has spent way too long this episode trying to find the letters from Maureen. She finally finds them in Tara's office and from what she's read, it seems like Tara knows more than Gemma would care for her to. I'm concerned for her. How far will Gemma go to keep this secret? Is Tara in danger? I mean, more than usual?
