Super glad that last episode wasn't the end for Chase. I was very disappointed with this capture last episode. But I should have known that that was not the end for him.
It's Oliver's birthday and they tease me with a dinner date(?) between him and Felicity. But when he goes to pick her up, it turns out, she is hosting a surprise part for him. I was disappointed, but they do talk about maybe trying to slowly get back together. I will 100% take it.
Anyway, at the party, Lance mentions he hasn't heard from Rene since before he skipped the hearing. After the party, Curtis goes to check on Dinah and it turns out, she's missing too (and I think Curtis gets snatched here as well). We quickly put it together that Chase is kidnapping everyone close to Oliver.
Thea and Lance are sent to a safe house and Felicity and Diggle are just sent away. They figure that Chase would expect them to stay close to Oliver so they planned to do the opposite. Totally doesn't work because Felicity and Dig are kidnapped shortly after as well.
Turns out though, if Oliver helps Chase escape, he'll tells Oliver where everyone is. But he's refusing to do that. Until he finds out that Chase got to William. Then he had a change of heart.
Oliver goes back to an empty Arrow cave that isn't really that empty. Turns out, Malcolm has shown up to help. He loves Thea blah, blah, blah. Oliver isn't really interested in his help. But once William is in the mix, Oliver is willing to do whatever so Malcolm is in. And so is Nyssa.
Apparently, Chase brings everyone to Lian Yu. I have no idea why. I cannot figure it out. I mean, this must have been the plan all along. To need Oliver to come to Lian Yu. So this is the way to do it, but why?
Oliver's first stop after he follows them there is to go see Slade and ask for his help. Is it possible Chase needs something from Slade? I mean, there has to be a reason we're here of all places.
Also, Chase didn't realize that most of them had been to Lian Yu before. I wonder if that means anything. I'm trying to read into everything. Even where there are no things!
