One Tree Hill 8X21: Flightless Bird, American Mouth
Added 2024-12-27 22:30:07 +0000 UTCThis was not a great episode. At least not for me. Not that it stopped me from crying while we tried to save the river court. I had no idea I was emotionally attached to it.
So the girls (minus Haley) are in Puerto Rico for Quinn's photoshoot. Brooke is busy pretending not to be pregnant. But doesn't really work because Quinn notices almost immediately. But most of this trip is Quinn running around taking pictures, and Lauren (yes, Lauren is here for some reason) getting drunk and taking racy pictures (that she sent to Chuck). I could have done without all of this.
The boys, meanwhile, plus Chuck (blech) are busy camping out at the river court trying to take photos of a bird. If they can prove the bird (which is endangered) lives there, they think they can save the court. Chuck ends up driving a bulldozer through the court when he finds out that Chase is going into the air force and didn't tell him. I hope they both leave.
While all this is going on, Haley is busy redecorating Clothes Over Bros, so it looks like Karen's cafe. She's decided that when Brooke moves to New York, she'll take over and turn it back into a cafe. However, when Brooke tells her they are not leaving because she's pregnant (which was an actual really lovely moment in this episode), Brooke asks if they can run it as partners. This I'm excited about it.
At the end of the episode, we find some eggs of the bird and it looks like we might get to keep the court. Also, Millie is doing some on air reporting as an interview and ends up handing the reins over to Mouth. I assume, we're setting this up to get him back at the station.
Again, I didn't really like this episode. But, he's to hoping the finale is is awesome.

I agree.... not the best episode, but then again you can say that about all the back half episodes of S8, lol. The Puerto Rico stuff was pointless, although I'm glad the female cast got to go, but it was pointless, nevertheless story wise. The rivercourt stuff with the guys and Jamie were the best part of the episode, outside of Haley wanting to reopen KC, and Brooke finally telling Haley that she's pregnant, and wanting to be business partners with her. That's great news indeed!!! And I so agree about Chuck and thereby Chase, lol. I find them both pointless and don't need to see them in separate stories not dealing with the main cast. I know there are some who enjoyed their story, but I was never one of them, lol. Probably because Jamie outgrew Chuck long ago, so I find him to be pointless without Jamie keeping him relevant, and I find Chase boring as hell, and outside of his parody shots as Tric's terrible bartender, I don't find him a useful character at all, so I totally get your frustration there, lol. But at least we had some heartfelt moments at the rivercourt and with Haley and Brooke at the end, so there is that. Oh, and Nathan and Jamie at the RC at the end after Jamie makes the shot, is always poignant, so yay for that, hehe :)

2024-12-29 05:00:31 +0000 UTCS8 is definitely my least favorite season bc i feel like there’s way too much filler but there was still some great and memorable moments! can’t believe your getting close to the end of the series 😣
