Wildfire 4X13: The Ties That Bind Part II
Added 2024-12-20 00:51:11 +0000 UTCI'm sad. I loved this show. Why don't they make more comfy, cozy shows? Also, full disclosure, I cry. A lot. And I have no tissues. Sorry in advance.
So, we spend a long time trying to find Wildfire. It's been days and he's still missing. Every running down every half assed lead, Kris finally agrees to stop looking. As soon as she promised that though, Wildfire comes back home. Seems like Ken was not the culprit. Sigh. It was an honest mistake by one of the ranchers who panicked and cut the lock to make it look like he wasn't responsible.
Now that Wildfire is back, it's time to race. However, the day before the race, Junior gets a call that he had to get to Alaska the day of the race. So, he's at the airport watching at the bar during the race. It's an intense race. It's a triple photo finish. And the winner is: Wildfire! As if there was any doubt.
After the win, Kris decides that she has to go to Alaska to be with Junior. She loves him even more than Wildfire. So Matt offers her one last ride around Raintree before he brings her to the airport. She agrees.
But, it turns out, it's a surprise wedding! They've set it all up. And Jean shows up with her old wedding dress (which is stunning) for Kris to wear. Right before she's ready to walk down the aisle, she and Pablo gift her Wildfire as a wedding present. She's stunned, but can't accept as she's off to Alaska with Junior. However, Junior tells her he turned down the job. They are happy right where they are.
We then get the quickest wedding of all time. I mean, it's like, 30 seconds. But I'm cool with that. I'm just happy that in the end, everyone seems happy.
While I'm not thrilled that Junior and Ken made up so easily, it's not my relationship. I just hope that if he starts to manipulate their lives again, they get far away from him.
And that's all she wrote. Who would have thought the best relationship in this show was about a girl and her horse. ❤️

Oh, I love that for them. I'd probably be disappointed if they did a reunion or mini series (see Gilmore Girls). One of the best things about finishing a series is, even though you're sad it's over, you can finally google everyone on the show without spoilers!

2024-12-20 12:14:19 +0000 UTCHard agree. I think this is the only show I've ever started rewatching before I've actually finished it. I don't know anyone else who watched this show either. (Besides Melissa, who sponsored this series). When I first started I was amazed that it was an ABC Family show. It didn't seem like an ABC Family show should be allowed to be this good! This show was wormed it's way into my heart. And I love it so much. I think I wanted her with Matt in the beginning. But, as the show went on, it was pretty obvious that I was wrong. She and Junior are lovely together. (Although, not as lovely as she and Wildfire). And I LOVE that they gifted her Wildfire for her wedding. It's obvious that the two of them love each other more than anyone else on the show. ❤️ I did know that Kerry was Andy, but I had no idea that Kerry and Dani are married! I love that for them. I'm glad you enjoyed these reactions. I loved doing them. Thank you so much for understanding that these take a lot of time. And maybe starting new stuff isn't the best idea right now. I've already got a lot going on.

2024-12-20 12:04:29 +0000 UTCNo saldy they didn't do a reunion of the show but the cast atleast some of them seem to still be semi close to this day atleast through social media posts as the Davis siblings recently hung out with both their spouses and kids and they all follow eachother on social media atleast the ones that have them and interact with eachothers posts. The only one i currently have no idea what they are doing is the actor that played Matt Ritter as he doesn't seem have any social media so idk if he has permanently quit acting for something else that he enjoys doing or a different type of work as his last acting role has been more 9 years ago.

Im soo sad that it's over but im glad you loved it as much as i did when i first watched it. Like you have been saying this show really truly is about a girl and her horse at it's core above everything else. And just like you i also never thought that i would be crying over a girl and her horse but then this show happened. And as someone who loved Kris and Junior from the beginning this episode really trully was everything for me regarding them and their sweet and suprising wedding and i loved that Kris asked Pablo and Jean to give her away because they are well and truly her parents at this point and have loved and suported her far more than her own ever did even if they did get into arguements every now and then and were mad at eachother they never stopped loving her and wanted the best for her always. Kris really foud a family in Raintree and in the Davis siblings and this episode was such a beutifull send off to such a brilliant show. This show really is a confort show for me so when i joined to watch your OTH reactions and then decide to see what else you were also reacting to and notice that you were reacting to THE WILDFIRE you should have seen how mouth agapted i was and how thrilled i was because litterly noeone else was reacting to this beautiful show and trust me i had looked for a long time and it got to the point where i didn't even think other people knew this show existed and i had convinced myself that i had just dreamed it all and it was all apart of my little imagination due to how little it gets talked about anywhere especially compared to other teen dramas of that time that still get alot of talk to this day. also fun fact kinda idk if you already know this or not but the actress that plays Dani Davis is married to the actor that played Kerry Connelly, kris agent guy that ended up being horrible news and stole the huge prize money and tried to run away to mexico with it on his plane. And idk if you remeber this but that same actor that played Kerry Connelly here also played Andy in One Tree Hill where he was the college professor in season 2 who ended up dating Karen and breaking up before getting back togther after keith died. For me it's wild how differnt to two charcters that he plays on both shows are as i always thought that Kerry was sleazy from the start and a opportunist wheres with Andy i loved him from the start and always knew he was a good person. I just wanted you to know i have thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to every single episode of this show and all the others that i love that you have been reacting to. And also please don't overwork yourself just do what you can manage and if that means cutting down on shows and not starting a new one till some more of the others are finished then so be it.
