Wildfire 4X12: The Ties That Bind: Part I

I cannot believe this is the penultimate episode. This show was so good. I'm so sad that it's so close to being over.

So, Ken continues to pull strings behind the scene in order to attempt to keep Kris and Junior apart. He's got Junior involved in some new environmental thing that he's really excited about. And Junior's got Kris over as a jockey at Davis Farms. Ken gets in Kris' head about winning a Triple Crown, while he convinces Junior to work on the environment thing.

But, it turns out, in order to be a part of the environment project, Junior would have to move to Alaska for a year. Effectively, forces him and Kris a part. (She would stay here and jockey the horse that could win the Kentucky Derby).

Initially, Junior turns down the opportunity. But Kris quickly tells him she'll go with him. And I was so all in on this. I thought it sounded great, and that Kris was happy about it. But, as the episode continued, it seemed like she was less and less happy about it. BUT when she and Junior finally decide to revisit the conversation, she says she's all in and still wants to go. But she's wants one final race. Which all seems to be working out.

However, at the last minute, Ken fires her as a jockey. She heads over to Raintree and convinces the Ritters to let her ride Wildfire in the race. (Although, to be fair, they didn't really need that much convincing).

They also decide that they are gonna get married at Davis Farms after the race. Jean and Pablo are happy for them. Ken only finds out when they congratulate them. Junior tells him he can come, but only if he's civil. Ken then basically calls Kris a gold digger. Thankfully, Junior overhears and tells Ken he's out of their lives. Thank fuck. It's been way too long that they've let him treat them like this. (I'm including Dani in that 'they').

But, afterwards, when Kris and Junior head back to Raintree, they find that Wildfire has been stolen. Is there literally anyone it could be besides Ken? I hope it is him so we get to yell at him some more.

Also, I'm not gonna be happen if they all kiss and make up with him in the last episode. And speaking of the last episode, we so don't have time to do all the things that need to get done. Find Wildfire, go to the race, get married, kill Ken. Way too many things to do.
