I don't know. I know I've spent a lot of time screaming at Fiona for doing everything wrong lately, but I honestly don't think the shit that happened in this episode was her fault. Yes, she didn't help either of the situations, but she's not really to blame. Also, she's at the point now where she really needs help. This isn't her just being a shitty human being; this is her completely spiraling out of control.
So, Debbie bailed her out of jail, and she's immediately back to her vodka drinking ways. She's up all night, sleeping all day. She looks rough.
Meanwhile, Lip is trying to become the legal guardian for Xan (whose mom bailed again), but when DCFS comes for an inspection, Fiona is drunk, there's a hole in the floor, a bunch of kids are in the playpen not being watched, and it seems like he loses the chance. He blames Fiona who tells him it wasn't her fault. And I agree with this. She certainly didn't help the situation, but no one told her this was happening. She tried to keep up appearances as best she could, but it just didn't work.
Afterwards, she goes to the bike shop looking for him to apologize, and runs into his sponsee. He's on his 100 day sober, but watching Fiona down vodka in front of him is too much. He drinks some and then calls his dealer and shoots up some heroin. When Lip finds out he got the vodka from Fiona, he flips out on her. And again, she claims it wasn't her fault. And again, I side with her. She had no idea he was in recovery. But Lip is so pissed, he ends up kicking Fiona out of the house.
In other news, Frank loses both the hobo contest and Ingrid. Carl is concerned that Debbie is trying to steal Kelly. Kevin lies about getting a vasectomy.
Oh, and Tami is pregnant with Lip's kid, but they don't have time to talk about it.
I actually quite enjoyed this episode. I think I liked the last one too. Maybe the end of the season will turn out to be better than expected. Wouldn't that be nice.
