Felicity 4X18: Time Will Tell

What the hell is going on here? As much as I love witch Meghan back in action, how is this the show right now? We've got actual witchcraft and time travel? Is this still Felicity?

Um, okay, so Elena dies (WTF), Ben has a month long affair with his study partner, and Noel is getting married?!! How much time elapsed between this episode and the last one?

We start with a Dear Sally (and damn is that a throw back) and find out that Elena died in a car accident, so we all meet back up for the funeral. This causes Felicity to fall into a bit of a depression and her being so withdrawn pushes Ben into the arms of his study partner. On the day she gets the invitation for Noel's wedding, Felicity catches them kissing and they break up.

She goes to Noel's rehearsal dinner alone, but eventually, Ben shows up. Later, Felicity and Meghan get drunk and Felicity talks about how she made a mistake always choosing Ben, and when she and Noel had sex on the roof, she should have picked him. Meghan has coincidentally gotten a new spell book and sends Felicity back to the past. (I'm sorry, what? This is supposed to be drama, not sci-fi!). She knows everything that happens in the future.

Waking up on the roof with Noel, she pretty much tells Ben's immediately knowing it's the better option. However, when she tells Noel she wants to be with him, he's not quite as into it as Felicity is. When they meet for coffee, he tells her he doesn't think they should be together.

After this, Felicity drives Meghan crazy trying to get her to reverse the spell. However, since Meghan has no knowledge of the future, she has no idea what's going on. Eventually, she caves and tries to help her, but they realize the book hasn't been published yet.

Shortly after this, Noel shows up in Felicity's room and tells her that he wants to be with her, but he's afraid of messing up their friendship. She assures him they won't, and they kiss. And I guess are together in the past. 🤷‍♀️

Where the hell do we go from here? This can't be a real thing, right? Did people like this when it aired?
