Ugh. You guys. I spent most of this reaction trying not to cry and failing. And I had nothing with me. So, it's just a never ending parade of tears. I'm sorry!
So, we finally made it to Brooke and Julian's wedding day. I was looking forward to this so much. I don't know what it is about the two of them, but they have wormed their way into my heart. I think, at the end of the day, I just want Brooke to have all the happiness in the world and Julian makes her happy. They aren't Naley, but god damn do they make me happy.
As much as I didn't love the Haley and Jamie back and forth about the wedding speeches (he's a literally child, just let him do what he thinks is best!), both speeches were beautiful. I know I say it a lot, but I love how much everyone loves Jamie. And, I'm so not a kid on TV person. But something about Jamie's relationship with pretty much everyone, is just perfect. Also, I'm claiming that I manifested Jamie being the best man into existence by yelling at Julian about it for six episodes. Lol.
I really didn't care for the Skills storyline here. I get that at the last wedding, Jamie got kidnapped on his watch, and he's looking for redemption, but if anything, the person he should be hovering over, is Jamie. That said, I was all in on him demanding that no one object to the wedding. I said the same thing.
Um, why is Quinn confiding in Alex? When did they become friends? I think telling Clay is the right thing to do, but why you ask Alex, of all people, to keep this secret? I mean, maybe she thinks Haley would be upset, but this just seems odd.
Also, what is going on with Millie in this episode? She rooting for Alex to start shit? What is going on with our side characters today?
Was anyone expecting Brooke's dad to show up? I forgot he even existed. But, I did love Brooke dancing with Julian's dad. Mostly because this is what I did at my wedding. My dad died about six months before I met Dan, so at our wedding, I danced with his father. It's a really nice memory, now that I think about it.
Mia and Chase decide that Brooke and Julian's limo is the best place to make out (huh?), so they end up leaving in Julian's truck. Am I the only one who thought there would be, like, a bomb on that truck? This episode gave too much happiness and almost zero angst. What are you doing to me OTH? I'm so afraid for the next episode.
