Wildfire 4X5: The Friend

There is really zero chance this wedding is happening, right?

So, Junior is torn between doing wedding related activities with Laura and working on the wind turbine. Kris initially tells him to focus on Laura, but then when she sees how enthusiastic he is about the project, she changes tune.

However, turns out, part of the issue going on with Junior and Laura is Kris, herself. She finds it uncomfortable that Junior is still spending so much time with his ex (and she should be, he still totally loves her) and is upset that he invited her to the wedding. Thankfully for Laura, Kris said no. Then, Dani talked her into it. And Laura was not thrilled when it turned out Kris was coming.

Later, Dani talks to Kris about what's going on with her and Junior and tells her if she's still in love with him, she better figure out what to do about it now. So, Kris goes and talks to Junior and basically tells him she loves him and wants to get back together. He tells her there will always be a connection between them, but after the wedding, it's probably best if they don't see each other anymore. He goes to walk away, but then comes back and kisses her. (You do no need to be getting married right now, Junior!)

And then, Junior talks to Matt and is all, 'what if I find someone I like more than Laura in the future?' Honey, if you are already concerned about this, this marriage is not for you.

Anyway, outside of the wedding stuff, Dani and Noah finally hook up. She makes it very clear that she wants to keep things casual, so they mostly make out in the supply closet. However, he ends up asking her to spend the weekend with him, and she rejects him. He pushes a little bit, and she tells him she has a date. (Lies.) Later, they both apologize and decide to go back to simply being employer/employee. No! I hate this for them. But, we've got 8 more episodes to get them back together.

While all this is going on, Matt and Kris have been working with the racehorses, especially Flame. Matt asks Jean if Kris can come back to live at Raintree because she's there all the time helping him. Jean says she's still uncomfortable with Kris. However, at the end of the episode, when she and Pablo watch her ride Flame and see that he's just as good as Wildfire, it seems like she might change her mind.

I'm not feeling great about Jean this season. Trust me, I know how badly Kris screwed up, but she did everything in her power to try to fix it. And then, left. She only came back when Matt shows up and begged her to. I think it's time for Jean to cut her a little slack.
