I agree with you that it was a shame it got cancelled. Of course it was made now with Tom Ellis's star riding high it would probably go to multiple seasons! Ah well...maybe the loss of Rush gave Tom the freedom to choose Lucifer and I am not going to argue with that!

Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding. I am so happy you understand what I am trying to say. And I've seen alcohol affect those closest to me, and many others negatively too. It's all so, so sad.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Heidi

No offense taken. I too have seen drugs ruin many lives but no drug has effected those around me as negatively as alcohol.

Because I Got High- Thank you so, so much for another fantastic reaction for Rush!! So... this episode is really good overall, although I think it is probably one of my least favorite episodes of the series along with the fourth episode... We Are Family, when Rush sleeps with his stepmother, because yeah... that's pretty wrong.
I do enjoy this episode overall. I love that we get to finally see how Rush falls out with his father and loses his ability to be a doctor in hospitals after coming into work while high as a kite. And it's really interesting to see all of these events upon them being played out in his mind because Rush is high on the drug he takes from his latest patient.
Now... I appreciate the artistic and creative way the creators allowed for us to see these events, and I truly appreciate that upon him going through this tough lesson, Rush does finally learn just how wrong he truly was that night. While he might have saved the patient who almost died, Rush also almost killed him and very easily could have just as well. He was extremely lucky. We know Rush is a brilliant doctor, but being high and on drugs or drunk while trying to save lives is so, so bad and so wrong.
I've never done drugs, and I have no desire to ever do drugs. I've seen how badly they can affect people far too often. Personally upon witnessing people I love suffer from the effects of various drugs, and while at work too. I will never condone anyone using drugs. But with this being said... I most certainly don't ever judge anyone for using them either. I most certainly don't wish to offend you, or make you think that I think less of you for having used drugs, Clint. That isn't what I am trying to say, so please don't think I am.
Now... while I of course enjoy Rush's storyline involving his visions while high overall, my favorite storyline is Eve's storyline throughout this episode. I feel so badly for her. And while I know that her boyfriend was genuinely trying to be romantic and didn't mean to scare her, I do very much believe he was very wrong to go into Eve's apartment and take her things to pack them for a weekend getway without her knowledge. And it was especially wrong of him not to fess up about having done so after she first expresses her worries to him about someone having broken into her apartment, knowing full well how scared she is of her ex after she told him the truth about her past.
Eve is definitely not ready to move on with a new man in her life. And therefore, she never should have gotten involved with this guy. However, he also knew what he was getting into before they took the next step in their brief relationship and he accepted this about her. I can't say I am sad to see them break up. Especially after he made this mistake.
Had Rush not been cancelled, I would have loved to see Rush and Eve end up together in a romantic relationship. Not only do I love their chemistry with one another, but I also really love their overaching story involving how Rush pulled Eve out of trouble with her psycho ex. And they help one another. Eve knows Rush better than anyone, and she cares about him in spite of his flaws and mistakes. And Rush truly and genuinely cares about her too. They help one another. I think they would be great together.
And lastly... I also enjoy the storyline with Alex going out to take over for Rush while he's on his high. It's interesting to see Alex working outside of the hospital, caring for Rush's patients like Rush does. And you can see that he cares for his patients, in a different way that Rush does. Rush cares about his patients, but he doesn't have the kind attitude and care that every doctor should have. Whereas Alex does.
Thank you so much once more for another great reaction! And I am so excited for next weekend, for your reactions for the final three episodes of this fantastic show that I am so sad to see come to an end. Rush definitely deserved better. I wish we had gotten a second season because it most certainly deserves a second season. Why it was cancelled... I will never understand it. Nontheless... thank you again, and I can't wait for you to come to these final episodes!! Just you wait!!!! Until then...
Thank you, Clint!
SIncerely,
Heidi
