Wildfire 3X11: You Can't Count On Me

Okay, so, I wasn't the only one who was immediately suspicious of Jace, right?

So, Kris' brother Jace shows up. She's also suspicious because, apparently, he's always up to one scheme or another. He assures her that he went to the army and is now flying straight, but she's still concerned. He continues to do things that are not really suspicious, but also make him look suspicious. It's sort of fun.

Anyway, Kris is over riding Avatar at Davis Farms and it's sort of uncomfortable because now that Junior has taking a larger role at the farm, he's out working with her all the time. He comes up with a plan to send Kris and Avatar to a race in Kentucky (I think it was Kentucky), mostly just because he can. Eventually, he ends up buying Avatar from Sullivan (and upsetting Dani in the process- and don't get me started on her this episode) making him Kris' boss. He then decides that it's too difficult to work with her and fires here as Avatar's jockey.

While all this is going on, Jace finally tells her why he's here; he's found their dad and wants her to go visit him. Matt (who thought her dad was dead) tries to encourage her to go, but she's adamant about not seeing him. She's uses the excuse that she can't afford to go. So Jace steals Junior's Porsche and takes it street racing to win the money. Which prompts Kris to tell him it's not about the money, she's not going to see the man.

Jace does not seem to understand why Kris is upset about this. He doesn't think anyone got hurt, and he returned the car, so what's the big deal. Dani, meanwhile, is losing her mind over this. (I'm trying to give her some grace right now since she just lost RJ, man is she pissing me off right now). Junior, who knows it was Jace, decides not to press charges.

This was a wild episode. And so good!
