This was not my favorite episode. It was a little too focused on Denny, and while I have nothing against Denny, there are just more people I'd rather be watching.
We also got some weird coupon forger (people forge coupons? Seriously?) who is trying to befriend Maddie so she can try to steal her mail, which has her money orders in it. It was a little odd. But I did kind of enjoy the mystery of it (until that was the end anyway).
Meanwhile, Buck is now a math genius after struck by lightening. So Eddie takes him to some underground card game where he uses his ability to count cards to his advantage. He basically takes everyone's money, but it turns out, they don't actually pay in money. So Buck ends up going home with a bunch of steaks.
And Denny's cover is finally blown. He's been hanging out with his dad all the time after school and not telling either Karen or Hen. When he doesn't come home after school, they are frantic trying to find him. And, coincidentally, a police officer is walking Denny into the hospital while Hen is there with a patient. Turns out Denny and his dad got into a car accident. Denny is fine, but his dad's in surgery.
Hen and Karen are furious. They ended up getting into a huge fight with Denny and he's not really speaking to them. Eventually, Hen's mom talks to everyone and Hen and Karen decide that Denny can spend time with his dad as long as they set up some ground rules. They make it very clear that this is for Denny, not for him.
