Wildfire 3X10: Diplomacy

Okay, so, I know Jean says she accepts Kris and Matt, but has concerns, but she's acting like it's already doomed everything. And this Matt mistake, was 100% not because he was with Kris. If anything, she tried to make the situation better, but Matt let his ego get in the way and that's why he made a mistake.

So, Sullivan is excited about Avatar for the race over the weekend and tells Kris he's got some publicity stuff set up with ESPN. He also needs them to start Avatar on some new feed for whatever reason. Matt and Kris try to go through some of Henry's old journals to figure out a feed formula, but they don't find anything. Matt checks the internet. Kris suggests they ask Pablo, and Matt is very against this, and he ends up choosing some organic feed that Avatar is apparently allergic to. He breaks out in hives and Sullivan needs to cancel the photoshoot, and he's pissed. But Avatar is fine and can race without issue on Saturday.

But Jean thinks this mistake happened because he was too involved with Kris, and she's not really treating either of them nicely right now.

Anyway, race day comes, and while Kris and Matt have different ideas for how to run the race, Kris still manages to win. They are all thrilled and assume that this will make Sullivan happy again. However, instead, he takes all of his horses over to Davis Farms leaving Raintree broke. Again. Kris runs him down and begs him to stay, but he tells her she's a better rider than Matt is a trainer, and he wants her to keep riding for him. But he still leaves.

While all this is going on, Kris and Matt struggle with finding the right time to tell Junior about them. Eventually, he sort of stumbles upon the truth himself, and is not happy. Obviously. Later, the three of them and Dani end up at Bobby's at the same time. Dani sees them kissing and blows up at them, concerned about what will happen if Junior sees. They tell her he already knows. But Dani is still upset about RJ and ends up in a fight with Matt. Junior comes over and while taking a swing at Matt, accidentally punches Kris in the face. Later, Matt and Junior try to talk it out, but Junior says things are not cool, and he's not okay with this.

At the end of the episode, Junior finally breaks down. Between RJ, the Kris and Matt thing, and his car being constantly broken, he's had enough. Later, he talks to Ken about how he's ready to take a more active role in the farm, and Ken buys him a Porsche.
