Wildfire 3X8: The Goodbye

Thanks. I hate it. Ugh. They spent this whole episode getting me ready to so say good-bye to Wildfire and then I ended up having to say good-bye to Pablo? No. Say it isn't so!

So, the farm is hardcore struggling. Again. They've already sold off some equipment, but it isn't enough, and they have to breakdown and sell some horses. They make a list of, like, 10 or 11 horses. Which seems like a lot of horses. Pablo is upset because he feels like they are selling a lot of their young horses who are going to be good as they age, but there just isn't anyway around it. However, they all agree that Wildfire is up for sale.

Until, Jean gets an offer that she can't refuse. She struggles with the decision, but ultimately decides that the farm needs the immediate influx of $500,000 which is being offered. Pablo offers to buy Wildfire, but he can only come up with $350,00. He promises to pay him off over the next year or so, but the Ritters say they can't risk it.

Kris and Matt have several arguments about it. She keeps telling him that he used to use his gut and not numbers to make these kinds of decisions. And she's right, but he didn't have the responsibility to not losing the farm then. Anyway, at the last minute, they decide no to sell Wildfire. Huzzah! However, Pablo is upset that no one bothered to tell him.

Anyway, Kris and Wildfire race at the end and they end up winning meaning they get the purse, which really helps the farm. However, afterwards, Pablo tells her he's leaving the farm. He claims that as much as the Ritters talk about how they are all family, it's just talk. And he needs to go and find his own thing. I hate it.

Meanwhile, with Kris and Matt so busy at Raintree, Gillian and Junior have gotten closer as they both keep getting stood up. Dani calls out Gillian on this, but she swears they are just friends. However, after that conversation, Gillian tells Junior she can't hang out. I feel like we're going to end up swapping partners here, even though Kris and Junior aren't actually together. But after one of those arguments about selling Wildfire, Kris and Matt end up having sex. Plus, Matt and Gillian don't really have any chemistry anyway. And they don't really seem like a good couple either. 🤷‍♀️
